If nothing else the devs tend to get on it quickly.

Legion's release was flawless and actual 6 hour maintenance is rare. most of the time it's just rolling restarts on Tuesday morning.
I am the Fist of Retribution
There's nothing wrong with being emotional, especially when it comes to a product you care about.
Emotions are a good thing. Being passionate is always a good thing.
Let's just blame it on the PS3 and /thread
When Bonestorm launches in June, these problems will sprout right back up.
And if it happened 3 times in 3 days and you never find out that Han died until someone at work spoiled it for you, do you still think its fun? That actually sounds like fun! You plan a date, and then all of a sudden, the movie stops. Wait 5 1/2 hours? No way! I'd take my wife to do something spontaneous, like walk around the town square, or go get Andy's (amazing ice cream for those of you who live near one). Wow, I really need to take my wife on a date night. Your comment reminded me to do so!
All they need to do is add channels(add more servers to each world) and allow us to swap between each channel as one fills, while making housing areas and character data on a single server, per world of course, to see if it fixes the congestion. If it does not then they would at least not have to worry about people getting queued to join the game they paid to play.(unless maint or bugs happen)
Yes, but that mass exodus happened because of Gordias. Gilg and Balmung have been this overpopulated since 3.0. It's not new. The issue wouldn't just magically appear in 3.5. They messed up something up in the patch, dude.
Being passionate is a good thing, but yelling at the people that cant do anything to resolve the issue doesnt help. I've worked in retail, and that has mellowed my reactions to stuff like this. Sure, the servers need to be beefed up, but thats not an easy task when you are on a budget set by a corporation. The dev's do the best they can with the resources they have, and hopefully we will see some improvements with the next expansions budget.
And hopefully, they can do something to prevent or encourage people to move the hell off gilgamesh and Balmung.
Just No. Different instanced server copies no matter what you call them are just garbage period.
They can do this, we had it for about a month after Heavensward launched before they turned it off. Or at least each zone had multiple instances.
