It probably won't happen, because they're cheaply bought. A lot of stuff that you can get from the salvager/recompense NPCs isn't put on the armoire either for that reason

I don't change weaponry frequently enough to want to bother keeping replicas around (and I certainly don't have that kind of space), I just make a trip to North Shroud every time I need one.

The only reason I brought it up is because yes they are cheap, but they REQUIRE you to have your actual relic on you to buy them. And since the HW relic has to option to trade in your completed Zeta, replicas are no longer available to you from that point.

I heard about that problem coming up initially, when the first stage of the HW relic came out, but I thought they'd fixed that.

They did long ago, you can just buy whatever weapon you desire after you got it and finished that last quest. Having the weapon or a replica on you is not required.

I have been trying to buy a replica of my BLM zeta weapon but when I talk to Drake he says:

Forgive me, but I'm afraid I cannot do anything without a true Zodiac Weapon Zeta upon which to base my replica. Could you bring one to me?

Well, no. I traded mine in!
I used to be able to purchase the replicas, in my Armoury Chest I have Replica Sasuke's Blades! I did both BLM and NIN relics to zeta.
When I check my journal I have completed the quest "The Vital Title".

Any ideas?

You need to have the zeta on you or trade it in for the HW crystals in order to purchase the replicas. Trading in is better option imo (free 1 inventory slot + convenience of not having to dig it out when you wish to go to north shroud to purchase any previous stage replica) unless you have any emotional attachment to the zeta.
