Heaven forbid we question whatever it is that causes XIV's maintenances to be so much longer than other games' too. While I can live with it, it still perplexes me, and there's nothing at all wrong with wondering about it.

But I won't continue to discuss it here, I know from trying that in the past that it's never worth the hassle on the official forums.

I think you forgot to take into account the amount of people that works on WoW versus the amount of people that works on XIV.

I think you forgot to take into account the amount of people that works on WoW versus the amount of people that works on XIV.

If that's the case of why maintenances take so long, I think it's fine to complain about the inadequate staffing and the resultant long maintenances. More people should be complaining about it actually. Change for the better doesn't happen if everyone defends such things.

I'm cringing so hard right now. But I have to remind myself that ignorance is bliss.

Not all understand how much QA goes on when you try to put in a rough diamond of that size in a server full of potential conflicts.

And that's why SE needs to modernize their QA and testing processes. Have testlive servers or something.
