I think you're grossly over-exaggerating how much the "medieval theme" present in the English language version makes it a "different game."

Remove those "pray tells" and "succors" and things like that? You're still going to have an English version that has noticeable differences in the dialog and text. Some of that will be from changing references or tidying elements of conversations that involve nuances found in one language that aren't in the other. Some of that will be due to technical reasons where if they need the text to be of a certain length (this is a real thing) and have to change what was said (while still carrying the same overall message) to fit the text in because a straight translation wouldn't fit.

And then there's the big one that tends to impact English localization a lot - lip movement. They have to make sure that dialog fits the lip movement as much as possible, and if a straight translation would be shorter or longer than the lip movement animation (and it often is)? It has to be changed to say something else that still carries the same message.

Remove all of the Tolkien-esque style language (it's really not Shakespeare, it's far too modern in the majority of cases for that) and you will still have numerous differences in the translation for the reasons above.

Only Ishgard really has a medieval theme going for it, though.

What original work? You don't listen to anyone, and you refuse to accept actual truth while constantly arguing circles and circles (mostly around yourself). But there is no "original work" Enkidoh pointed out to you that BOTH the English and Japanese versions of the game have been concurrently written with each other.

NOT to mention YOU completely ignore and just OUT RIGHT refuse to look at the proof someone EVEN linked for you in an earlier thread about this almost same topic.....

The head English localizer flat out states that they have a hand in creating many of the game's terms and the lore. (Also in video format!) They help localize the English names and terms back into Japanese. Localization is far more than just translation.

Personally I like the way the game is in English, aside from "bad dubs" you occasionally see in some Japanese>English media... I actually prefer hearing/reading/seeing things in my own native language (or some Spanish, since it's the only other language I know somewhat.)
