Nier: Automata x FFXIV collab?

Speaking of which, I found this one. So... PSO2 get an Nier Cross-Over event, but FFXIV dont? Kinda ironic... . I wonder if the Collaboration-Team is sleeping.

Phantasy Star 2 and Japan love collaborations in general, the Godzilla collab is probably my favorite
Here though with odd exception of this thread being pretty positive you hear "It's out of place!" when in reality these collabs are in their own little bubble, heck even Yokai Watch managed to make itself work in Eorzea "We're from a distant land" boom, done. Cheap and effective way to make it work

I just love collaborations in general, they've introduced me to some really nice things like Garo just recently.

I mentioned that two pages ago xD PSO2 also made a collab with Persona 5 and, let us not forget, FFXIV itself. We got a bunch of cosmetics including a moogle mag, and bloody Odin with his head swapping mechanic and all. The limited quest that introduced him was pretty neat. In the lore, the PSO2 characters are transported to the Black Shroud. I played PSO2 and experienced that collab before I got into FFXIV, so it was quite weird to understand Odin's mechanics in a fast paced action RPG and have that knowledge be useful in a slower paced tab-targeting MMO.

Wait wat. I didn't know Tales did crossovers with online games, aside from mobline anyway. Where's my Yuri/Luke/Stahn/Lloyd glamour? Xillia 2 called, and its demanding Ludger's outfit to be put in since he can WAR (not exactly but close enough), MCH and NIN. And the minions, oh god the minions. Mieu is a must. Iconic outfits aside, I think that every current and upcoming class/job has been covered so weapons wouldn't hurt either. Rowen counts as a red mage right? If not base weapons then endgame.

Such a shame, I personly thought one of the perks of SE being a Japanese company meant that we get to have those popular crossover events. Only 5 crossovers in 4 year time, that is a little low in my opinion. We could have had:

- Bravely Default
- Bravely Second
- Kingdom Hearts
- Tomb Raider
- Deus Ex
- FFXV (will come, but time is unknown)
- Phantasy Star Online 2 (they got a FFXIV crossover, but no news on what will come to FFXIV, if anything is going come)
- List of Anime/Manga that have been published by Square Enix (Gangan Comics), think Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler, A Certain Magical Index, etc.

The prime opportunity (Bravely Second release, be it JP or NA) came and went. Unless that series gets another installment, we might not be lucky enough to ever see Asterisk outfits in FFXIV, unfortunately.
