World building is also not always that easy as popping another moon or sun on the sky. You'd want to know what kind of effects it would have on the environment for example. Did it ever cross your mind that maybe the human life we understand is only possible in the conditions we have on Earth? That's why most "fantasy" is still very Earth-like.

Play No Man's Sky or something if you want space exploration.

There's plenty of imagination used in Eorzea to make it different from Earth, the elements just don't break basic life support. You're in the wrong game and genre buddy.

They hardly cloned the Earth. Created a planet that is somewhat similar, yes. Far from a clone though. I mean, it is not like Earth have islands floating around in the sky.
There is also quite different animal and plant life than we have on Earth.

Keep in mind that making things too different will just scare off players, and making things different just to be different is almost never a good idea.

Wouldn't copying Stargate also be a lack of imagination? Why MUST the sky of another world look different than Earth? Plus, like others have said, we used to have 2 moons.
