Think about if this thread popped up after Stormblood's release. Could you imagine the rage people would have if RDM's pimp hat could be glammed .

Just like everyone is gona leave because of said jump potion do you see the thread on that one , I hate to keep referring to this but, at the end of he day the devs will do whats gona make things work for them as a company.

Just because you take the fact that someone wants to wear some boots from another job that serious doesnt mean that everyone else would. Ive asked my fc members what they thought of this topic and pretty much all of them thought the idea was pretty amazing, but thats just a small amount of people.

But Id like to think that an expansion on creativity will only make people happy considering how often I see people in some of the most silly armor choices possible in the game. Its a game not a law book, and its wrong of you to say we dont care about the game otherwise why would we be makin suggestions that we believe would improve the game play for the majority of players that arent stubborn about folklore.

Jump potions/level boosting has been used in various other mmo's and while there is always flack in the start, 2 months after its release nobody cares.

What you want to do is take away the identification of from some jobs existed since the release of the first Final fantasy 1987, almost 3 decades.

Ok and various other mmos let you wear gear that you want also, thats kinda my point that SE if enough people wanted such a thing then they would make it happen. The Identification was taking away as soon as the game sent out their first chocobo head or santa suit, as far as Identification in this game most of the time the only way you know is by viva soul crystal or the weapon thats out at the time.

So dont act like making this change would all of a sudden make it even harder to identify because you cant even do this now as is, the only way any of the counter arguments on here would make sense is if the game never allowed any sorts of armor to be glamed other than what would be deemed job appropriate.

But they did my very picture is not me in my whm, summoner, blm, or any caster gear this is my dark knight, nobody has every said omg why are you wearing a mags hate on your drk you arent drk appropriate. You guys are spending to much time worried about the next person.

I would hope you would understand that people don't like the thought of looking like a copy of someone else. If I was on my ninja, and I saw a mage glamour on my job locked gear, I would be rightly annoyed, because then a different job is encroaching on and stealing my jobs identity. How do you people not understand that identity is as much about the look as it is about the feel?

Because some people in this thread are bent on forcing other folk to only glamour what they approve of, while others want to just be able to glamour what we want. Only one of those groups is actually following the "live and let live" philosophy.

This is really silly. You are getting way too worked up over what other people want to do with THEIR character. A reasonable person doesn't think what you typed. They don't get irrationally annoyed at people for not making their in-game avatar in a you-approved manner.

You may want to ditch the not-so-subtle personal attacks and the smug sense of superiority if what you're after is a civil debate. Your view of 'everyone should be able to do what they want' isn't shared by everybody, nor is it necessarily the best stance for the developers to take.

Something I care about and cherish is being attacked and people are voicing their desires to rip out its soul and leave only a soulless husk of a shell behind. Yes, I'm gonna speak out in defense of something I greatly enjoy when other people wish to take away one of the things I love most about this game.

Once again nobody is taking or asking to take anything from you at all , taking would be actually taking the gear itself and not letting anyone wear it. What the good people here are asking for is just to share it without the job restrictions, and to create an illusion with magic because thats how most of the stuff in the game works anyway after all with magic.

Like I mention before I could literally take a picture for Limsa Lominsa area by the market board on my server and prob couldn't tell which job was what because of the current glamour system. I just did a dungeon with an astro decked out in full kuppo gear and i knew it was an astro cause it had the astro symbol and its weapon, certainly wasnt because of some job specific gear. Sharing something and taking it away are two different things. If your love for this type of lore was so great you would have already left the game because everyone basicly breaks said lore standards on a daily bases because this is a video game not a lore book are guide on how to play.

Once again, this is a flawed argument because it has nothing at all to do with the conversation. Sure, some people choose to glamour over their job specific gear for their own reasons. This doesn't bother me, because the gear that's on display is either different job specific gear for that job/role or it's one of the generic sets, like the aforementioned pig suit, which again doesn't bother me.

However, taking job specific gear, like the DRG's outfit, and giving it to say WHM IS DILUTING THE IMAGE OF A DRG BECAUSE IT'S NO LONGER JOB SPECIFIC GEAR, BUT GENERIC GEAR.
