Thank you for clearing up that you have never played a Final Fantasy game with a job system. It at least explains some of the outright baffling things you've been saying in this thread.
Yea cause you are referring to ff 11 , sorry I didnt play that one , I play this one and this one doesnt explain the job system and cant expect that everyone has played 11. And also that yea Ive played ff but everyone who plays this game hasnt so you cant expect everyone to be a die hard lore fan like you are.
Others just simply want glamour options, and arent as concerned about the lore from other games as you seem to be. This is an mmo so sometimes devs have to do some things that other mmos do to appeal to a bigger audience than just ff life long players.
And the devs have shown that they are willing to make such changes already as you keep saying you dont even like the current system as it is now, well other people do. Im sure if you maintain the attitude you have about appealing to a bigger audience is a problem in this game then you are eventually not gona like it very much because its an mmo and this game will do what they need to do for mass appeal.
The job system exists since way before FFXI. FF III and V, for example.Yea cause you are referring to ff 11 , sorry I didnt play that one , I play this one and this one doesnt explain the job system and cant expect that everyone has played 11. And also that yea Ive played ff but everyone who plays this game hasnt so you cant expect everyone to be a die hard lore fan like you are.
Sorry i was three when ff 5 came out , my bad and I thought I was playing this game not those. This one is a mass appeal mmo that has lore in it but its not gona let lore effect game play forever, hence why they are adding a leveling potion to skip all the lore in the game. Because its called appeal to the masses, and wanting to be a profitable business like other mmos.
Sometimes you just have to get over yourself and realize that one way isnt the only way, still Im the only wana that keeps going on but the original post has more likes for the ops suggestion than not. And I believe that its alot more where that came from because this is a game not a set of laws that you have to go buy to play ,its suppose to be fun. Lore is not the law of the land its just not and it cant always get in the way of player options.
A) You don't have to play the games when they come out. I've played FFV in 2002 with an emulator on PC.
B) All the "mass appealing" you want. It's a Final Fantasy game in the end. Lore and tradition come first. Deal with it.
C) This is not Facebook and 40 likes are nothing compared to the huge amount of players that are in-game.
D) Google "White Mage" and share the results, please. You'll notice a pattern and that's why Square-Enix, the company than owns the Final Fantasy franchise, want to keep the job's identity. It's part of their product.

The job system exists in 1, 3, 5, 10-2, 11, 12, as well as various other spin-off titles such as Final Fantasy Tactics. 11 was not the only example of the job system.
