Honestly the blame falls onto Square if they don't take the time to make sure they rework tank to become more appealing otherwise it wont matter because everyones just gonna abandon ship from tanks into new dps.

Again, I'm agreeing with that. My point was that she said "tanking is boring" which, judging from her post history, I assume was supposed to mean "therefore Samurai should be a dps" and I don't think that's good reasoning at all.

Yes, Square Enix should absolutely try to make tanking more exciting. Giving them more options, akin to the multitude present for dps, is one way to help alleviate possible boredom with the role. Hopefully, Square Enix would opt to do more along with just adding another job.

Simply saying "well this role sucks so they shouldn't get the new job" is both incredibly selfish and short-sighted. Congrats, you get a new job, but you and everyone else also get queue times that are exponentially longer for the foreseeable future.

If anything, people should be praying for both a new tank job and that Square finds a way to make tanking more appealing if at all possible.
