I'll take 50 on my RDM. I would much rather get into Stormblood asap. 30-70 doesn't appeal to me but, I would do it if I had to. So 50 is better for me =)

As much as I see issues with this I don't see much issues with this considering didn't they say there is a level lock behind this Job anyways so players can not instantly play Red Mage until, probably, they obtain their first level 50 Job and have the 4.0 Expansion.
Also it probably won't take long for players to learn how to player Red Mage if they actual want to put effort into that Job once they organize the skills. Probably a day or so to adjust to Red Mage combat style if I have to guess.
Seriously, it doesn't make sense to start at 50. Jobs start at 30. That's a thing, it makes sense, it's why DRK AST and MCH start at 30.
I don't care if that is changed, but I care about consistency. If the other jobs aren't starting at 50 then Red shouldn't.
Ninja had to lvl rogue, maybe since you care about consistency you should be mad about DRK, AST and MCH starting at 30 and not having to lvl classes.
I have to agree with level 30 as a starting point. I know others disagree but I feel I get to learn the job more when I have a few skills already as opposed to a mass amount of them. Even going back to classes I never touched once I leveled to 60 I almost feel overwhelmed but then again I also actually enjoy leveling and learning new abilities and no, starting an alt isn't the same for me. Yeah I suppose PotD would be an option but still, I'd prefer level 30.
You mean you "much rather get into stormblood as rdm asap"? Cause otherwise there nothing stopping you from getting into the expansion asap once it gets released.
I agree I love leveling its much more fun leveling a job as opposed to gear
Yes, please! Have my like.
I've mentioned this before, but my desire to start at a lower level stems from two reasons. 1) I enjoy the leveling process. Starting at 50 means fewer levels, which means the job will be capped sooner, which means I'll be "done" with it sooner. Leveling alts is one of my primary activities in MMOs. 2) Starting at 50 means, if I want to make an alt for red mage, I'll need to grind through ARR on a class I have no interest in repeating the leveling process on. This is the same problem that the HW jobs had, and I am very frustrated, because SE ADMITTED that locking the HW jobs away was a mistake. So why are they doing it again? Sheer stubbornness? It can't be ignorance, since they've outright stated they shouldn't have done mch/ast/drk that way.

Not entirely true. As I said, some felt like a cohesive continuation of the prior story, while others felt significantly disconnected.
SCH I'd say is a good example of what felt like a cohesive continuation; working with the Tonberries you helped free of rancor to hunt down the demon who cursed them eons ago.
DRG is probably the best example of one that suffered from a disconnect with its previous story, given that story fed directly into the Main Storyline of Heavensward, leaving... not a lot interesting for the DRG Quests.
Whatever they will decide to do I hope they are going to make it coherent. What I mean is, if SB job start at 50, make HW job 50 as well. Otherwise make SB job 30.
