I understand your point, believe me I do. I am not saying there cannot and is not ever ill-intent when concerning money. What I'm saying is people need to think beyond money=greed and more importantly take into account the information available as well as their general actions and trends.
They already acknowledged this is an issue, and to your argument, even said they intend to change the MSQ/SQ ratio for StormBlood. You'll still have the same number of quests in game but instead of 100MSQ/100SQ maybe you'll have 50/150 now.
The price for purchase was already explained so i won't repeat that one.

Also, your use of "conflict of interest" is wrong in the context and example you gave, just fyi.
