Lol, I agree with you as well as far as the QoL part, as far as Unlocking endgame, that is purely story based... So that is an auto unlock for anyone with a few bucks and a credit card. I'm not trying to persuade you, I'm just telling my thoughts. For the record, if this game was F2P, then I would have absolutely no problem with this implementation, its the double and triple dipping that pisses me off.

Honestly, the Negatives portion just seems like a Concession and Rebuttal section rather than giving the Negatives side its full due.

that just means you're not good enough as a healer.

u are given shroud of saint for WHM
    luminoferous aether for AST
and almost infinite MP for SCH

learn mana management and you'll be able to dps & heal.

i personaly main healer , and i absolutely really hate!! standing doing nothing when i can actually help my team dps and clear faster.
ofc im expecting my tank to be smart too.use holmgang , use hallowed ground use living dead or other CD's, if u see your healer wont heal you fast enough.
and if after you use all cd and your healer still stand there dps-ing , kick his ass to the curb.

if your argument is : NOOBS doesnt know what to do with their class!!
    then it's utter bullshit.
With PoTD implemented and noobs levelling through PoTD do u really think they know what each skill is for?
They just use it to lv to 60 asap and think oh i am now lv 60 i am so good at this game!!!

I am not completely agree with jump pot either but , it help new players.
NEW PLAYERS help keep this game alive !!
if you think new players are stupid and stubborn and not willing to take advice then ditch em.
if they are worthy teaching then teach em.
this argument falls completely flat because palace of the dead absolutely serves as a testing ground for skills at an accelerated rate. i've learned jobs long before actually reaching 60 this way. it works.

I'll just say how I think the Jump Potion should work and how to implement it.

Mechanics: Can only be used once per character, no buying yourself to all 60. Only usable on Battle classes, no Crafters/Gatherers. And most importantly only usable by characters with New/Returning Player status. This is the key to limiting its exploitability, making it so the people who actually need it are the only ones who can use it.

Distribution: Two types, one for level and one for story. Make a bundle of both that costs less than buying both individually. Include a free one in full game bundles, the ones that'll have the base game, A Realm Reborn, plus both expansions. Make it so the people starting from scratch don't have to go through two games to get to the new stuff.

The two things I bolded are what I believe to be the most important things. The Jump Potion can be good if it's done right.

It should not be an additional pay wall added to a new player after buying both expansions and the base game. If you want more then one job sure pay additional money or level the normal way.

Bad players will be bad players, those that want to learn will do so. This is to incentives new players coming to FFXIV to not run away from the hill that is ARR+HW in order to access Stormblood on release.
No if they want to skip stuff they should pay wring every $ out of them

    That's SE policy!

Tank better. If a healer is running into mana issues healing you while DPS'ing you are requiring far too much healing. Look at your gear, cooldown properly, don't stand in bad and learn what a tankbuster is and how to avoid it. Having just dipped my toes into healing I can tell you right now that if I didn't flip to clerec and do some DPS at least half of any boss fight would be spent with my thumb firmly jammed up my backside praying for a respite from the boredom. The only moments of mana terror I've seen so far were when the tank was so egregiously bad that I was tempted to just vote kick them out of the dungeon and heal tank it with my face.

Are you here filling the role of the straw-man level booster before we've even introduced it?

I used to think it was a stupid idea, but reading the posts in the other thread, I can see why they're doing it. It really does take a long time for anyone to get caught up with everyone else, and if they want to play the new jobs or go to the new areas, they have to put in a lot of hours just to get there.

I can see why people wouldn't like it, from a business standpoint, it makes sense.

I'm all for the Jump Potions! I think including one of each in a bundle with the base game and all expansions makes the most amount of sense. It will become VERY important that there is some end-game "tutorial" (be that another hall series or job quest or whatever) to give people the key points and rotations for playing their chosen job, but I think that would be helpful either way with all the changes that happen with jobs each expansion.

    2cents, done!
