The thing is with SB release the want 2 make a HW skip as well + lvl60 job potion. If you see Yoshi's responce he cleraly states they develop a HW skip atm.

you are correct, but then the cap will have been raised, and new content will be out. Everyone will be on equal footing.

One thing I know if this ever happen to NA Servers, I'll stop playing. I started this game at 2.4, crawled my way up learning how to play the game. I spend 2 months like a beggar making itens in the streets of Ul'Dah. Now this? Someone can just buy their way up to lv.50 with money? I'm not against someone being allowed to jump Realm Reborn story, but make them level up their characters from level 1 like everyone fairly did. I can see a wave of garbage players who don't know how to tank or heal properly, and old players will pay for it. The reason I choose FFXIV over other MMOs was because it was fair to everyone, no cash shop for advantages. Its good I heard about this so I'll delay my purchase of Stormblood just see what will happen.

With the expansion, one should be made free. Even without the expansion tbh.

Done in such a way as to allow choice. Choose a Jump Job or a Jump story line or some other, cosmetic option. Future potions can be purchased. This doesn't seem like a full on cash grab and allows those who are determined to not use them agift as well.

It takes less time and work to make something that is player activated that then proceeds to check off flags.

I've played WoW myself as well as have friends who focus on it: The problem with the game isn't new players boosting to just beneath level cap. It's either stale content or the lack of content altogether. After WoD came out, there wasn't any new engaging content for a while. That's not the fault of new players.

That's the thing WoW is not only WoD or Legion. 10 years full worth of content getting skipped cause of bad design practices. When ARR launched Yoshi said they wanted to fix past mistakes. And they fixing them. HW is much more concise experience with not a lot of Fat. For that reason idm skipping ARR all together. But they should go back and fix ARR questline. Make most of the quests optional and boost the exp gain. The 46-50 pain is real.

If part of the reason to release these is to alleviate players needing to complete tons of story quests to progress... why not just remove the gates?

the potion removes the gates. the dev time for it otherwise is impractical.

I think you're the only one who knows making 1 item takes the same amount of resources as editing 2 expansions worth of main story quests.

Because Data provided by YoshiP already shows 30% of new players in China/Korea buy them. So it safe to assume a 15-20% in west markets will buy them.
