Well that is actually nice to hear. Felt odd being the only one to do Freeze for big groups but good to see it works out.

Your last table doesn't add up. Between the second and the third you listed the same spells and same damage numbers but your total damage on the last table is 6896 compared to the second one with 5456, you also have a higher dps on the last one, which is rather strange since you take 3 seconds longer to cast the same spells.F3 > 3xF2 > B3 > Freeze (not too hard to maintain 18 seconds at 1140 SS with practice)
Code:3 mobs 4 mobs 5 mobs 6 mobs 7 mobs 8 mobs F3 168 168 168 168 168 168 F2 540 720 900 1080 1260 1440 F2 540 720 900 1080 1260 1440 F2 540 720 900 1080 1260 1440 F2 540 720 900 1080 1260 1440 B3 168 168 168 168 168 168 Freeze 300 400 500 600 700 800 Total 2796 3616 4436 5256 6076 6896 18s DPS 155 201 246 292 338 383

The 2nd table has 3x F2, the 3rd table has 4x F2.Your last table doesn't add up. If you cast 3x F2, you'll always have MP for B3 and Freeze, but F3 might land with only one UI3 tick.
If you cast 4x F2, you have to wait on a MP tick for that Freeze, which isn't too hard to time out with practice.
Is the 270 shire rod or the alex rod the bis weapon?

Based on common knowledge. It has been known since the start of patch 3.4 that the shire rod is superior. Wasn't going to stay a mystery for long after seeing how messed up the stat destribution on gear was anyway and everyone losing faith in BLM and calculating with how much SS they would end up with...
Not only that but 1 weapon damage shouldn't cloud your eyes if 139 SS are on the stake. Not just because of its stat weight but also because of how it actually affects you in a fight. (With faster casts and giving you more freedom).
However I also did the math based on the stat weights from 3.3, which has generally (,somewhat skeptically) been accepted by the community.

SS: 0.38~
Crit: 0.20~
Det: 0.16~
WD: 9.8~
Here are the stats of the weapons in question in combination with basic math.
Alex: 1 weapon damage, 99 crit and 136 Det
9.8+(99x0.2)+(136x0.16)=51.36 INT
Shire: 97 Crit and 139 SS
(97x0.2)+(139x0.38)= 72.62 INT
Those stat weights are wrong. Alex staff is better until someone proves otherwise.Based on common knowledge. It has been known since the start of patch 3.4 that the shire rod is superior. These are probably a lot more accurate: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...eights_for_34/

Shire rod is still the winner of hearts :vThose stat weights are wrong. Alex staff is better until someone proves otherwise.

Yea, my assumption stems from when 3.4 started. And that's where SS still was 0.38 (that's why I said skeptically, because it's just too high). It's nice to actually see the final numbers. After such a long time....

Really? I did the math and Alex wins unless you got some BiS gear set that makes Shire better than Alex without the ACC going way over the top.
