People should also be willing to help someone learn if they discover that player struggling (as long as the player isn't a lost cause and will take advice). Just cause someone fucks up a few times, doesn't mean it's all said & done.
MMO communities are very juvenile & judge someone based on just a few encounters.
Get with the times, people (stop tossing N words & F words out, most MMO players are in their 20-30's!) It's like an adult with the mindset of a child. It's a scary reality. We should be evolved past this by now.
Half the time you get the same people who weren't that great, but they are all on VoIP. This helps everyone know whats going on & what to do, but then those in VoIP easily ridicule someone for not listening in because they fail to even want to communicate to that person through chat. Thus gimping themselves & wasting their own time even more. As if they are of some grand notoriety over everyone not in VoIP. Good LSs will usually have officers who will chat, but it's becoming even more rare.
These are the kinds of things that should stop if anyone cares about newer players not sucking so much. It's so easy to talk shit, yet more beneficial to help someone out. Ego, 1-uping, & AFKing in town really isn't something to be proud of, it's boring.
/wishful thinking
Personally, I don't play with party-nancies like you. I am too pro for you. Go back to the corner of your field and cower there with all your fellow sheep. And why are you on the forums? Doesn't your linkshell master need you in game to craft him some brass rings or something? Go grind some dodos with your little fraternity of twits.
If someone you know wonders why so many veteran gamers play mmorpgs solo, point them to this teen-weeny post and it will explain everything.
I agree with you to some extent.
But most people, especially new ones can get from 1-30 in a matter of day soloing leves.
Levels come far too fast half the time and you get hammered with a wall of text saying "you have learnt"
It is frustrating but this is what happens in casual gaming, you just have to either put up with it or be ruthless and kick them from the party.
Edit:- It's also worth mentioning I used to see similar behaviour in FF11 where people didn't know how to play their class or what skills did what, sometimes it just helps people out if you take the time to explain what their role and skills do.
Really depends if you have the patience or not.
Edit number 2
Irony at its best, a CNJ using curaga or curaga 2 is guna die pretty much instantly, the amount of hate it generates is way more than most tanks can maintain, both spells as CNJ shouldn't even by on your action bar TBH.Last time I checked, THM can't AoE heals. (another reason why CNJ is the healer and not THM

I'm just going to throw something out there for you, "Party Leader" This being the person that "leads" the group that they put together. This person obviously didn't know what it meant to be a tank. If you can't accept the responsibility to explain what role YOU expect each person to play in your party you don't have the necessary skills to be a party leader. Ergo, if you would learn how to do your job as a party leader you wouldn't have this problem. However, your admission that you died 4 times, obviously without changing your healing style leads me to believe your incompetence starts at being an effective healer in a party setting, might want to work on that before you move on to bigger responsibilities like leading others.

You haven't played this game much have you? My healing style? Yeah ok. I don't acquire any hate. Dude is getting low on health. I cast a single Sacrifice 1. Mobs turns on me. I don't cast anymore spells so that he can get hate and since he is now at over 80% health, I figured he would. He didn't. I die. Same thing the next 2 times then I ask him to voke. He does. It works. Next mob, I ask him to voke. HE SAYS NO! Because he didn't want to take damage. He didn't even know what a tank does. If you're going to play a MMO, you should AT LEAST know the basic roles of each playstyle (Tank, healer, dps, etc) and he clearly knew what a tank was, but HE didn't want to be the tank....as a GLA...So say what you will, but people like that, even after being asked to tank correctly and being told which skill will allow that, have no place in parties and I'm glad he can solo because I'm never inviting him to a party as anything other than DPS ever again. I hope he can solo Ifrit too because even the Arc, that was from his LS, got annoyed with his bs.I'm just going to throw something out there for you, "Party Leader" This being the person that "leads" the group that they put together. Learn your classes, or at least know the roles of each class, or hope that SE lowers the difficulty on raid mobs...because you'll never fight them more than once at your pace, kiddies.
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
Yeah, and there's no skill saying "hey, you're a healer!" to me.
I regard myself as a blackmage, because as a CON, I have all the regular blackmage skills (Elemental and Ancient Magic) and..well, a few healing skills too.
So don't go around telling people how to play their class just because their view of a class is different from yours.
So in otherwords, you're telling us the armory system is working as intended?
Why so serious? Just keep spamming your buttons and let anyone tank that wants to. Pretending the game is what you wish it was isn't going to work buddy.
XP groups do not take teamwork and coordination like they did in XI.
Also, why so much QQing and no mention of kicking people wthout any sub skills? oh........wait.
