if you can speak to your tank to tell them to try to use stun to make a kill possible : exemple a blm near the to 1000 hp, the tank stun the healer.
Tank playing feast do it because it's obvious, your advice will be for new tank, if you wish the tank to prepare a stun lock you are bursting, exept if he have you in focus you need a vocal.
The chat remove in battle don't help the toxicity because players is insulting others in entrance ? it will just lead to massive report again.
Since the beginning it's just a mess, players have to use a chat correctly for good purpose, it's a tool not a weapon, the result is this unliked upgrade.

From what I understood there are new 'targeting commands' too.
I'm not sure how much will change, but I doubt the preset commands will be a lot different from the currently used macros.
Hopefully the targeting commands will be more obvious like the countdown command added earlier this year; a huge improvement to all those manually created macros:

    Battle in 10 seconds<se.13><se.13>
    /wait 5
    SOON <se.10>
    /wait 1
    SOONER <se.10>
    /wait 1
    ALMOST <se.10>
    /wait 1
    GET READY<se.10><se.10>
    /wait 1
    SHOON <se.10><se.10>
    /wait 1
    ★GO★<se.4><se.4>

I honestly feel the in-game command is better; it's clear, concise and everyone knows what's up.
If there was a new command that increases dps focus, I would welcome it.
Chat gets ignored often and I'm sure everyone has had a game where just no one would die and it took up to 4 stacks of Culling to make a kill happen. It's frustrating for everyone.

This is honestly just depressing, I really hope they don't go through with it.

I think this would make fights more of kinda going in blind. So to me would be interesting. But we'll have to see.

How is this any different from harrassment or negativity encountered in say, a bad DF run or Weeping City back when it first launched? Where was this solution when people were being rushed through Main Scenario instances with lengthy cutscenes and being flamed or kicked for wanting to watch them?

Fact is, while a certain degree of toxicity does exist, it's not proportional to the amount of good natured players, but PvP and its players have been branded with a terrible stigma - largely by players who DON'T PvP - and THAT is why it's unpopular. PvP is unpopular because people don't WANT to try it or like it, largely due to that stigma. Our community is too small for anyone to just be an all around toxic player, and we've got no issue policing our own. All too often we've had to, given the secondhand nature SE apparently seems fine to treat us with.

You also said "I hope they don't listen to the vocal minority here". That's just it: the PvP community IS a vocal minority that is often overlooked, rarely listened to and even more rarely responded to. THAT is how you kill a community. That is how you kill a game. When you take one section of the community and basically say "you don't matter, you don't have a say in things", those players, the good and the bad, will move on. . . Who's next after that? Raiders? Crafters? Your statement there is just as bad as the harrassing or abusive things said by a toxic player, whether in PvP or PvE. That is NOT okay.

I'd like to point out that Koltik and Stefan agreed on something. That means the world is ending or SE really messed up big time.

Lets make a team based PvP mode, then make it so you simply cannot communicate.

This should be used for those who have proven to be abusive. Many people use it appropriately, why are we being punished for a tiny minority?

All around toxic is not the point. People type in reaction mode. Some people who think they are decent and constructive have crossed lines, or maybe found gulity have crossing the line. What PvP consider constructive and team building, has been deemed over the line. Some people who I know to be decent enough internet people, have crossed what I think the line is.

I will say other games would have went over the behavior of some players after season one. A definitive examples of this is deemed offensive, this is over the line, this is not appropriate use of sound effects. They also would have said we had X% of reports per game and if this isn't fixed we will fix it.

PvE has had its punishments/nerfs as well, you aren't just being singled out. More gates per dungeons and echo. Also vote kick is fine in weeping city you kick the players express the disgust they have for someones play style and wait a bit and go on. How would you suggest they make vote kick work in feast? Match pauses, resets both teams get a tie like point? The nature of short matches for rewards make some of the games self policing features moot.

No other game mode has had this kind of punishment.

The reaction to people being legitimately awful to other players is to mute or ban that specific person. The reaction we have, instead, is "Nobody is allowed to chat ever again in the Feast."

My life while tanking is an existential hell from which there is no escape.
