Every LotA pug I got into did it that way.
I have never seen a raid that killed this boss while it was still in the center.

I've only ever seen it done in the centre and pulling skeletons to the sides.

But anyway, there were a lot of ways your "problem" could have been fixed. Yes the DRK didn't follow how you are use to it being done, but there are also 5 other tanks. They should all have provoke. The boss could have easily have been moved instead of jumping all over the one player. Because, again, it really just seemed like everyone (the DRK included) was just being lazy.

Ragnarok is on Chaos so it may be reasonable to say that they believe the "arena edge tanking" strategy is their default strategy as well. Hard to say without more input from more Chaos residents though xD

Why would that be bad or leave worthy? The tank would be missing at most like 4 or 5 vit, because low level accessories offer very little.

e - just checked to make sure. The highest stat available is +4 vit on the MRD/WAR only ring from Brayflox. The highest you can get on any other slot is +3. So yeah....at most, and assumming the lvl 1 accessories had +1 vit, he'd be missing a maximum of 11 vit with the best options available to him, and an irrelevant amount of parry, accuracy or det depending on what he would be using.

True, but I didn't really add that he was pulling things with cone AOEs and directing right towards the rest of us ( corrected him nicely ). I have a tank alt and was told that it really matters to be kept up-to-date with your gear in case you have a DPS that will basically do the equivalent of tug-of-war with aggro. The main thing that was unnerving besides that with the tank was how quickly his HP fell compared to a lot of the sprouts I've seen in that dungeon and I get Brayflox normal er... a lot in leveling roulette ( beats Totorak which feels like the ride that never ends ).

A benefit in that group was that we had a BLM who was a lawnmower and the NIN that left was replaced with a decent DRG.

Not a Duty Finder thing, but just coming here to vent. We finally managed to do A9S, A10S and A11S in our 3 hour session of raid, and the drops we get are ultimately useless for our main classes. RNG is one cruel mistress. At least we have a 3 hour session of pure A12S progress tomorrow.

Kicked from library hard earlier.

First boss. Shadewalker the tank get trick attack up and do my stuff. Less than a minute in I see the drg is almost taking hate so smokescreen him and few seconds later I pull hate off the tank...

Dragoon complains I smokescreened him. Tank complains I ripped hate and accuses me of stealing there hate with shadewalker. Healer says it doesn't work like that. And I dunno how the conversation went after that cos I was vote kicked

I only wish I had you instead of the ninja I got in Xelph last night. Jerk smoke screened me (pld) every time it was up, including during the double balloon pull. Should have kicked him.

Just got out of a Xelph run with a mate, him on DRK me on mnk. This dragoon we landed with. Oh boy.

At first glance (just at their HP) it looked like we were going to smash down these mobs. Nope.

No heavy thrust, no dots, no buffs. Just the old 1,2,3 with some ring of thorns thrown in. Alrighty out of curiosity inspected their gear. Their weapon was the 260 relic. With parry melds. 133 parry. I just.. I'm speechless. The tank accessories didn't phase me at that point. Was pretty funny to see >ω<

I now believe Kinna Weapon + Unupgraded Lore Gear = "I AM A NOOB WHO CAN'T PLAY THEIR JOB".

Since I just had an abysmal run of Antitower with two such players. A BLM who seemed to only have a rough idea of their rotation leading to pretty substandard DPS output, not to mention they used FREEZE! Worse was the PLD who quite often lost aggro and contributed basically nothing for DPS.

Still better than the time I ran it with a DRG who only used TTT, but not by much.

I did an a6 run earlier where the BLM, who was in very good items, did lower dps than the PLD (who was new).
