Had fun in Wiping City.

The Alliance had gotten Ozma down to like 5% and at this point I guess everyone basically went "lol i'm gonna ignore the singularity fragments to DPS the boss". By the time I notice how the other alliances are doing B and C are dead. My team gets tornado'd and both the healers go down. We managed to kill the fragments but everyone in A who's not dead is critical and the rest of us are being picked off by the lasers. I swiftraise one of the healers and they come back just as the rest of us die and they LB 3. We burn down the last 3% on the boss, which is waaay more than it looks like on a 24-man, and we saved the entire alliance from a wipe.

Kicked from library hard earlier.

First boss. Shadewalker the tank get trick attack up and do my stuff. Less than a minute in I see the drg is almost taking hate so smokescreen him and few seconds later I pull hate off the tank...

Dragoon complains I smokescreened him. Tank complains I ripped hate and accuses me of stealing there hate with shadewalker. Healer says it doesn't work like that. And I dunno how the conversation went after that cos I was vote kicked

Let me get this straight: the tank honestly believed that NINs, a DPS job, have a skill that allows them to subtract from a party member's aggro and add it to their own aggro?

I can't even comprehend the logic behind that concept.

Labyrinth of the Ancients for the weekly quest.

First boss, Bone Dragon.
Before the fight begins, I mark the far edge (3.5 huehuheueu) of the arena with A, hoping to make sure even the densest people know /remember what to do.

This Elezen dank knight from my alliance proceeds to MT and just tanks the boss in the center of the arena.
Well, I type into alliance chat: "please tank the boss at A"
No reaction. Some others mention it too, but nothing happens.
Boss dies for the first time and all skeletons explode simultaneously.

We wipe.

Someone from the other alliance asked who our MT was, I tell them that it was someone from our alliance, and another player says "the DRK".
Dank knight gets triggered:
"stop talking bullshit and learn the REAL strategy for this fight, the skeletons mustn't be allowed to reach the boss!"
A player responds:
"yeah and tanking him at A makes it easier for us to kill skeletons"
No response.
We manage to kill the boss and clear the rest of the raid with no difficulties.

Then, at the final boss...
Phlegethon uses his Ancient Nova (or whatever it is called) and the dank knight is the only one to die from it. They didn't make it outside the shield in time.
"HEY XY WHY DIDN'T YOU LEARN THE REAL STRATEGY FOR THIS FIGHT?" was what I said to them.
Immature, but I don't care. At least it amused a few players. Also, I got more coms than usual.

This is a thing now? It would make things easier though, especially since you'd be able to AoE most of the Skeletons this way. I just didn't even know this was a thing now. Though its been a while since I ran LotA.

Wait. People have trouble burning down the skeletons when it is done with the dragon in the middle? Still?

I mean, sure the DRK should have moved the boss to make it easier. But even though they didn't you guys still shouldn't have wiped. If you guys weren't being lazy.

Every LotA pug I got into did it that way.
I have never seen a raid that killed this boss while it was still in the center.

That's the only way I have ever seen it done. A/B/C was only to mark where the alliances should stand to grab skeletons and pull em to that section outside.

I've always seen Bone Dragon tanked in the middle on the Aether data centre. However when I played on the Primal data centre for a bit they ALWAYS moved it to the northern edge of the arena so I guess depending on what data centre you're on, your "PuG strategy" will change.

Ragnarok is on Chaos so it may be reasonable to say that they believe the "arena edge tanking" strategy is their default strategy as well. Hard to say without more input from more Chaos residents though xD

I can confirm that in most cases, chaos DC PuG always tank bone dragon at north, while it differed back when I was playing in elemental DC, some tanked it in the center and B tanks were almost always MT by default.
