I wholy recommend getting rid of this habit. It's not the end of the world, but it's also not useful at all, and only results in unnecessary overhealing and unnecessary enmity that you really don't want in case the tank dies bc they were standing in the bad or by accident.

When I'm healing with another AST and they never use any cards. At all. I get not wanting to overwrite cards, but if we both use cards, that's more chances to get arrows/balances. There have been times when I've healed with an ast and had arrows and/or balances up nearly 100% of the time. I think I hate it more than my cards being overwritten.

When I'm playing a non-healer class I get overly critical of the healer and get annoyed by stupid mistakes that end up in me dying and getting that stupid debuff.

Plus I HATE those macros that are like "Stop dying scrub!" when you dying was their fault, not yours. No, I don't blame the healer for everything, but if I die because I'm not getting healed and my health is slowly dropping from 19k to 15k to 5k to 0 in 20 seconds, I'm going to get annoyed.

I like ninja, but I feel motivated to play scholar because people are stupid and don't know how to heal.

Oh man I know how you feel. I don't usually end up dying but I do get annoyed when I do runs with bad healers when I'm a non-healing job.

Estelle {UN: VanilleFang} [Regular Forum poster who mains WHM] and I recently did some roulette runs together and we landed in Halatali for our leveling. I was Paladin and Estelle was leveling Lancer so we landed with a PUG healer.

To avoid rambling I will list what they did that drove us nuts:

    1. Rarely DPSed, mostly spammed Cures even when I was at full HP. Used Medica once in the whole dungeon, on the first boss. After it was dead.
    2. When they did DPS they were never in CS, not even on bosses. Halatali has the easiest bosses in the game when it comes to healing imo, so this seriously annoyed me.
    3. They were synched down so they had Stone 2. They NEVER USED IT. Also they only used Stone twice on the final boss, once when he was invuln. Never ever used Aero.

Now, you are probably wondering "but you said they dpsed some, but only used Stone twice???" Yes.

    4. When they did DPS they spammed Ruin. We told them they should at least use Stone instead as Ruin is just weak af. They ignored us.

GG. Estelle was basically crying from the badness.

Good god I wish people would stop doing that. Not only is it annoying as hell to chase them down, I feel you're actually SAFER in melee range on a lot of bosses (conal attacks, attacks that hit one half of the arena, etc...)

I actually ran trial roulette the other day and tried out delaying when it was applied and someone yelled at me for not having regen up as we scattered :/ Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Of course, I think they were one of the DPS who go off into Siberia the second the countdown goes to 0 so maybe that's part of it. I've never understood dps who do that. I keep a decent distance while on brd in case I need to get away from something quickly, but I at least try to position myself within healing range.
