Why not? Most MMOs do. Blade & Soul, you literally just equip what you'd like to wear and bam, that's your "glamour." It's not like glamouring actually costs anything. With the bear minimum of gathering, you can have a retainer get mats and pay 200 gil for clear crystals. That's isn't even chump change levels.

Because a gil sink (5% tax from MB and NPC price for prisma) have to be replaced with another gil sink (NPC price for glamouring, and taking the chance to increase the gil sink)

I was so excited when they showcased DoH and DoL AF2, only for it to disappoint with the glamour restriction on shared gear. I hope they start working on this + a glamour log once they are done with the new job specific UI coming in 4.0
