Well, the obvious difference is that there's nothing toxic about positive players who think that the game is fun - at all.
Honey v. Vinegar, baby, no comparison
Why is that a bad impression? What they produce IS worth money. I've probably been giving them money longer than you've been alive. I want them to continue producing the things that they are producing, because they have been consistently fun for decades.
You're never going to get ahead in life by being a complainer, yaknow that? Never.
If it weren't for the complainers, XIV wouldn't even be up to the state it is now, none the less have a 2.0 version on the way.Why is that a bad impression? What they produce IS worth money. And I believe that the vast majority would disagree with you about XIV being worth money
If there are any "toxic" players, it's people like the OP who think the game will do much better with a smaller playerbase. Idiocy.
You can't run an mmo on 20,000 subs. That's why it's the wrong impression. People like the OP would be happy if they were the only one playing the game, but obviously, SE wouldn't.Why is that a bad impression? What they produce IS worth money. There's nothing noble about being a sycophant.
Based on what, exactly?
I mean, you didn't get to your level without logging in and playing. A lot. You didn't do that because the game sucks. You did that because you enjoyed doing it enough to do it. That means that it's worth SOMETHING at least.
Suck it up, a few bucks a month is nothing. I predict that more than a few who are QQ'ing in their beer today, will be paying in a month - because you just don't put hundreds of hours into something and not care about it.
Having some players to pay for the game is better than nothing. And since they going to re-release the game and everything, it really doesn't matter how many play it. If the re-release is good, word gets around.
That word doesn't mean what you seem to think it means. Either that, or you mistakenly addressed that to me instead of someone else. There's nothing noble about being a sycophant.
Well, how exactly do you think they are supposed to run it on NO subs? You can't run an mmo on 20,000 subs.
Personally, I find the people that blindly defend everything S-E does more irritating than most of the forum "trolls," who often have valid complaints. These people will never be weeded out, they'll be here until the servers shut down, continuing to give S-E money and praising everything they do as if they weren't just software developers, but some sort of infallible religious institution.
