While I wouldn't change from my dragon girl, I'd love to see some Viera in game! Mature or cutesy, both variants are nice!

This has already been discussed a few pages back. What?!? Someone came into a thread posting their opinion in a section of the forums labeled "General Discussion"?!? We must be in some Twilight Zone! *cue twilight theme*
Unbelievably "General Discussion" is for discussion, not echo chambers. If you or others can't handle having a discussion, then perhaps those people should reconsider posting anything at all.
I'm always game for more races (equally up there for extending the customization of current ones), but they should always have their own distinct feel - even if its very minor. The small "cute" ones would just be clashing with the lala's, and if they toned down the original variant, it would just be another Miqote type. In FFXI (oh crap i mentioned it) the Mithra were much more wild looking and fit the theme of Kazham/Elshimo; Even the slight changes made for miqote makes them look much more docile for lack of a better term. So if the Viera took that role here, at least they would fill a different theme.
Edit: What also helped were the race specific animations.... Elvaan were high-school wannabe cool guy with mix of stout elegance, Mithra more pronounced and active in their movements, Galka lumbering with a forceful feel, and so on.

It's like everyone is being forced in liking the idea, so the only thing those people can do is comment why they don't like the idea.

Anyway, your character reminds me of Tom Cruise.
But that thread was made during August of last year. I made this thread yesterday and I already have nearly half the likes of that other thread. I assume this is so because in that particular viera thread, they want a different type of viera that strays a bit from the concept art. I guess this may seem like a copy thread, but I strictly want a viera that is closer to the concept art, and I felt it was important to make that distinction. Furthermore, this is strictly a support thread. I want people to be able to post viera pictures here, maybe even show us their own fanart. Perhaps talk about how viera would be incorporated in ffxiv lore. I want to generate talk about viera.~Previous thread is at 86 likes which is far more than this thread has: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-a-possibility
Dislikes don't mean crap on toxic forums like these. You wonder why people make multiple threads on the same topic, because they keep getting off-track. If you ask me, the more threads on the same topic could be more useful than just one.Likes on a post don't mean anything when there's no dislike button.

Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit, kill waaaaaabbbittt
No matter where you go; there you are.
Rabbits are known for burrowing. Perhaps since we're going to a desert, there could be a great sprawling metropolis buried beneath the sand built by Viera? Rabbits can be found in all climates after all, no need to limit them to woods like the miqote were.
That would be very interesting. I sort of like the idea of a desert rabbit. Maybe one subgroup can be from the desert, and the other from the forest? Or would both subgroups be from the desert?
