What does 4k gaming have to do with a ps4(pro)? LOL. Please dont mention such things together. It can prolly play a certain file format of 4k video (the least bitrate and quality) and thats all and barelyif not your going with crappier graphics than the first 3d games, or it just has to be a 2d sidescroller from the 90s at 4k. PS4 will never have anything to do with 4k other than a crap 4k video at best. Please dont fall for the 4k title.
Other than that its best console avaiable if you play on a console better get whats the best. Atleast.![]()

Can anyone tell how much improved FFXIV looks like on Pro please. For Pro owners out there
Cheers
Do you have any idea how stupid and childish you sound? The PS4 pro has native 4K games as well as upscaled games that are very close to native but I can see it's a waste of time even saying that to you. You clearly don't own one so best stop making yourself look silly. What does 4k gaming have to do with a ps4(pro)? LOL. Please dont mention such things together. Thanks no point getting it right now then. I'll wait until is patch... If ever
Isn't 4K the same as 2160p? Supported Pro games are rendering at 1800p, which is close enough. At that point it just becomes a very difficult game of spot the differences. What does 4k gaming have to do with a ps4(pro)? LOL. Please dont mention such things together. I think you're giving the Pro way less credit than it deserves, or speaking with an agenda in mind.
No, it's perfectly capable of 4K output. The question is whether it can render games at 4K with the kinds of physics, textures and effects that people are accustomed to seeing in fullHD. The answer to that is a qualified Yes. Qualified because it depends on both the framerate required, and the amount of effects/physics/etc... A basic game could render at 4K in 60 frames, an more complex game would perhaps hit 30 frames. But a fairly typical game rendering at 4K would not fare well, it will need to render at a lower resolution such as the checkerboard 1440p resolution and then scale from there. In truth, most people will not notice any difference at that resolution unless the game is paused for a side by side frame comparison with a full 4K version. In motion it's really not very easy to see the difference unless you specifically know what to look for.
One thing that it does have an issue with is that Sony chose - quite insanely - to gimp the system, requiring that any game that wants to make use of the extra GPU resource must be patched to do so. Unlike a PC where doubling the GPU resource results in instant frame rate benefits, the way that the extra GPU resource is handled on the PS4 requires that games specifically be compiled to enable the additional resource in order to gain any benefit.
Before PS4Pro was released, the information I had seen, and common sense said that there was no way Sony would do this. I argued with several people here (in another thread), RobbieH included, about that very topic. Now that they units have shipped and it's clear that Sony did choose an insane approach (IMHO), I have to say that RobbieH was right on that point, and I apologize for all the back and forth about it.
