They need some kind of funds to bring out v2.0 but you people don't want to pay them for their hard work and the work that's ahead.

I give them my money, 12 a month? that's like 2 hours of minimum wage work. You people said the same thing, buying an 80 dollar collector's edition game for a game that wasn't finished, you got over it. You either quit or kept playing for free for a whole year.
And I'm sure that in more than several cases, the people who purchased that $80 CE continued to play the game despite all its flaws because it remained free to play in the interim of the fixes. The people who already had purchased the game were not going to recoup those costs unless they were lucky given the terrible reviews and many return policies on MMOs. Getting over the one time payment for the game was made very easy given that they were not going to incur any more cost by continuing to play. The question back then was whether the game was enjoyable enough to spend time on, the initial costs were sunk and the subscription service was suspended indefinitely, so the only consideration was time spent.
Well things are going to be different now, there is a new consideration as to whether the game is enjoyable enough to spend time and money on. It doesn't matter what your financial situation is, everyone is going to have to make the same decision, whether they are conscious of it or not, as to if the game is something they would consider worth paying a subscription for. Price of the subscription is a factor here to be certain, for I think a lot of people who are against paying full subscription prices for a year before a truly full game is realized would be willing to part with half that amount in fees for an admittedly half-finished game, only to see full price when 2.0 arrives.
