You seem like the type of guy who would stand /afk in Limsa with your Alex weapon out hoping for some ooohs and aaaahs. When I was playing WOW few years ago, I was the best warrior tank in my server and one of the best tank in my region ，
I got some "first down" with my raid team during WOW's golden years (3.0)
the rotation, gear stats in XIV are too simple & boring,
if I want to raid, I will play WOW, not XIV

That game I was from is now a so cash heavy game because people asked the developers for more. I'm fine with the cashshop in a subscription game don't get me wrong, but don't think instead of asking it to be in the mog station it can be given as a in-game reward? Why does all the request here have to always be somehow related to the mog-station, hasn't it been too rampant lately? It wasn't even this bad in FFXI. Its funny how prices of items are increasing when FFXV,KH3 & KH2.8 is around the corner.. isn't it? Lmao.

No offence but as if the OP who is flaunting his house and characters w/ the same outfit here is any better lol. Stating that he doesn't mind yugiri's outfit for 50$ since he can pay 108$ for 6characters, Right. I'm being rational and logical in my reasoning here, OP on the other hand is using money to determine is reasoning.
Anyway, to each their own. Either way he is the kind of person who would get burned alive by the people talking about others hogging plots for the fun of it.

To OP: Either way housing in Aegis is cheap, I got my large for 50m (pre-adjustment) back then in masamune instead of 75m. Good luck OP, doing that in tonberry,balmung or gilgamesh.

I do not like the idea of things that could've been in-game rewards to be locked away by DLC.

The thing is that those items wouldn't have been in-game. Or if they had, then other things we already have wouldn't have been made. Cash shop items are an extra, apart from the main content we're getting regardless, made so that the company can get extra revenues and have more money to do more things.

Now, if we think about the main content we have, we have more outfits, hairstyles, and basically more of everything in nowadays' patches than we did back in the beginning. That's because the game was able to gain extra money, which translates in more things for all of us, and I guess that's thanks to the merchandise and the cash shop.

However, people not only want extra things (that cost extra money) to be added in-game, without sacrificing any of the other stuff we have, but they also want to make sure that SE won't get that necessary extra money in any way. I think anti cash shop people should take a moment to think about what they're truly asking for; we can't simply follow the rule of "I, I, me, me" without knowing that the less we support a company, the less things we'll get.

(Edit: NPC outfits cost 10,50€ if I remember well, not 50 *falls over*)

XIV 2.0/3.0 has a lot more outfits than XIV1.x/FFXI,
& you got beautiful CG movies, a lot more cutscenes, upgraded graphic engine, while paying same sub fees
we are just asking for few sets to be add in cash shop, you still have many choices in-game

and because we cash shop buyers, you got Europe servers & 3x budget for next expansion

and the cutscenes, voices, CGs, new dungeons, fancy outfits, new gears every 3 months, new graphic engine, countless QoL changes.

If you don't like cash shop, then contents need to have longevity,
that means the game will be something like FFXI/FFXIV1.2x/EQ, do you like these games? No?

No, I'm not, because its really not clear if the money from the cash shop went back into this game or into other games or paid for an all-diamond-suit for some CEO who isnt even sure what that FFXIV is and only knows it brings in money.
And I'm not thankful because pushing the cash shop means the devs wont ask "Whats something cool to put into the game? How can we make the best game possible?" but also "...and how can we make people pay extra for it?" Why should I be thankful for supporting an idea like this?

I'm not so sure about that - by that logic patches wouldnt have been possible before the cash shop. New content was always released and I remember them saying that the issue wasnt so much money but rather that they couldnt find new devs?
Yes, we got more stuff - and yeah, cash shop might have played a role in it - but I'd like to remind you that we got new hairstyles etc. etc. before that too.
