Dearest Yoshi and Dev Team:

I'd just like to toss out some ideas that I think would be super beneficial to the overall game.

It would be nice if we could mount up while in dungeons, as well as receive/send tells during duty. I also think it would be quite interesting to access the Company Profile inside duty as well. For many reasons this would help a ton.

I'm sure I'll get some dislike on this thread, but it's more a necessity and common in other MMOs.

Mount in duty is unnecessary, the rest is solid.
I would love to see more cross realm communication. I hate being in a great DF run and then never seeing the people again.

To be honest, if the short cuts worked like actual shortcuts should I wouldn't ask for mounts. However I noticed majority of the time the shortcut is a troll.

Why would you need mounts in dungeons when you have short cuts? Mounts are really not essential there and their time could be used on something different. For Chat, depending on your settings you can receive FC / Ls Chat >.> just set it before going in.

I'm convinced you didn't even read my post. You're just commenting, just because. I'm not talking about FC or LS chat. I'm talking about tells. Furthermore, SHORTCUTS often at times do not feel like short cuts you still have to run quite a bit of way before you reach where you need to go. I figure mounting up would be easier since most people in DF are impatient.

This has been asked for, for a very long time. Yoshi has said it is physically impossible to do these things due to the nature of how duty finder works. When you que, and get into a duty, it moves your character to a different server, and this is what makes receiving tells not work. FC and linkshells are not under this constriction, as can be seen in the Datacenter room for Triple triad and any of the other dutys you do on a daily basis. I hope this helps. Sending tells in duty does open it up for more possible harassment cases, as people tend to think twice before saying something publicly. Although this case alone is not really enough to justify excluding it all together, it is a significant factor I believe they've mentioned before. Just me personally, I'd rather not get them in duty as it's distracting. Kind of like texting and driving, it can wait.

As for mounts in dungeons, there's certainly been occasions where I wish I could've mounted up and rode through it, in general though I'd agree that it's probably for the best that we can't. For historical reasons, there's always areas in FF games where you can't take a chocobo and have to dismount, mainly for dungeons, so it makes sense in that regard. It's also a bit of a slippery slope, we can ride our mounts now can't we just summon them to help out since this tank sucks or summon them to get more exp? etc etc. Allowing us to mount wouldn't break the game or anything, but it feels wrong, like out of place. And, at the end of the day, you spent another 30 seconds running, that's not really a big deal.

I understand, but I just feel like receiving tells in duty would be better. As for the diff server thing, well that's just strange. I feel like it's important an FC mate or someone should be able to convey a message to you regardless if it falls under harassment or not hence the blacklist. Also the extra 30 seconds, I find people still find a reason to nag if you take too long to reach the end, perhaps instead of a mount.. make the short cut actually take you to the point you need to be?
