REQUEST: Can we have both /changepose Poses?

It makes sense that they're different based on gender given who exactly the DRK poses are based on though - the male DRK pose is clearly Cloud's iconic pose from FFVII, but the female DRK pose appears to be emulating Saber from the (non SE/FF) anime and visual novel series Fate ~ Stay Night, so genderwapping them would just ruin the reference.

Well given who Saber is based off of and one of Cloud's more infamous scenes DRK probably isn't the best option to DEFEND "gender" locking the stances

DRG makes more sense when the pose is both iconic to a male character and most of the well-known of them through out the series tend to be male.

My vote is in for giving stances to all, but it isn't a make or break for the game either.

I'd totally get behind this. I like some of the male poses (male NIN one, for example), and an FC mate like the female DRK pose, and would prefer it for his male character (plus, I would love for mine to stand like Cloud when she's on DRK because he is my fav FF character). I understand people wanting variety, but I just don't agree with gender locks for poses. I don't see any real reason behind it.

I'd also like them to remove gender locks from some of the idle and sitting poses. Why can't my female Miqo'te have the kitty squat pose males have, too? D:

Didn't they model the poses after different FF character's trademark poses?

I'm sure the female dragoon pose is the one that Fang uses while the male one is Kain's.

I think there are other ways to promote diversity without falling back on archaic gender-based divisions. I don't care to wear a skirt as a man, but what works for me doesn't work for all. You have to get out of your comfort zone sometimes for others.

Saying you want to promote uniqueness by blocking this seems a bit shaky at best. But again, differences of opinion are a good thing.

I like to see variety rather than the other half of the population using my poses.

Giving people more options adds more variety, not less. Seeing every female with the same pose 1 and every male with the same pose 2 isn't much in the way of variety. Making it so some females use pose 1 and others use pose 2 because they've been given a choice, while some males use pose 1 and others pose 2 for the same reason, is at least a bit more variety than what we have now.

they could easily give it to us and just make the command be like /acpose (a for Alternate) or something along that line.

It doesn't need a new command. /cpose is already set to cycle between multiple options. We have several weapon sheathed poses, several sitting poses and even several /doze poses for housing beds. We could have a third weapon drawn pose the same way.
