In their in-game model they don't look that good, the art though, owO I wonder if they're static or they flow with movement. (Didn't read any of the comments, sorry if someone stated if they do or don't)

Just because there are things already in the game that hurt the art direction, doesn't mean it's cool to go ahead and stomp on what's left of it.
People that don't want the wings probably didn't agree with the Yokai Watch event either.
And yes, the game does have an established aesthetic. Different styles within that aesthetic like what you described doesn't change that. Most armor and equipment sets can be pretty easily recognized as being from this game.

Oh, look. Yet another "exclusive" people will claim to "pay any price" for it and then be in shock when they do have to pay a high price for it.
I could go through the many things that do not fit this games PRIMARY aesthetics from furnishings to gear (believe me there is a lot). I could point out things such as Yokai watch and the DQX stuff that do not even fit the games art style let alone aesthetic. I could point out all the lore issues of things from cross over events, some of our seasonal events, or for the real lore lovers the things that ended up changing/getting lost from the change over from 1.x to 2.x. Like I said if you don't like the look if you prefer it not to be in the game personally that is a valid arguement but when it comes to cosmetics they have established their stance on it not having to match aesthetically to what people perceive as this games primary look, nor does it need to mesh in any way with the lore of the game.Just because there are things already in the game that hurt the art direction, doesn't mean it's cool to go ahead and stomp on what's left of it.

Why not? It's called a precedent, you can't be okay with one and not with the other, why aren't you asking for the removal of those?

As far as I can tell, alot of these players actually can't point a good reason as to why this shouldn't be in the game. If there was a gunblade class to be released they'd flip their shits just to play it, regardless of how it doesn't fit in with the lore since its garlean tech and we're eorzeans, but I bet you they'll theory craft something just so it would be possible. They just don't want it. Too bad for them.
