I can't stress enough how I hope these won't get a huge following like the Chinese Dress got, because I find them absolutely horrible and tacky and just scraming Free2Play Cashshop and oh god I don't want to see them in Eorzea ;-;

I think The China Dress got popular because it was effectively forbidden fruit to most players, much the same vein as the demands for Lightning Strikes repeats. On the other hand someone on the thread specifically about these wings mentioned that players in Japan and China hate the wings too. So there is about a 40/60 chance that these outfits will be in the MogStation (I say 40/60 because Yoshida apparently dosn't like region-exclusives either)

Not being able to have it likely played a part in its popularity, but the Chinese dress looks quite nice on both genders and is unlike anything we had in the game at that point. I still people see glamoured onto it unlike other clothing which are thrown in retainer storage after a week by the majority, so that says a little about its visual design.

The wings make about as much sense as the spinning turtle though, the Thavnairian set comes from Thavnair and the Chinese dress, Kimono and Suikan could be imported designs from Doma before it was burnt to a crisp while wings don't really fit in anywhere. How about we put them on an alternative pig costume, throw it in the Gold Saucer and add the achievement "when pigs fly" when the set is equipped? A fair share of people on this forum don't care about it making sense, as if already having silly things means the game should be filled with them but everyone has their owns views.
