Chinese/Korean servers : New exclusive mount

The fact is there is no reason we can't have it.

There is obviously actually "Reasons" we can't have them. I don't doubt for a second as long as a silly amount of people would throw their wallets at SE for this fluff they wouldn't jump at the chance?

Even if the SE dev teams makes it, doesn't mean there aren't exclusive rights changing hands for the regional servers...also why are SE working on this then and not giving it to us? I guess the small team they have is even smaller now that they need to focus on exclusive regional server glamors.

The main reason that Chinese and Korean servers get exclusive stuff is so that Chinese and Korean players actually use those out-of-date/partially-censored servers rather than using VPNs to play on the up-to-date/uncensored JP/US/EU servers.

Don't forget though, both of the Korean and Chinese items were made for other companies, not SE.
Even if SE made the items for them, those items are for those companies' version of the game and are their property.
I wouldn't be surprised if SE had to pay some kind of royalty fee to bring those items to the main game.

that "exclusive" mount is their version of the Cloud puff we get from the Moogle beast tribes. Chinese/Korean servers have to go through a lot of censoring (which is part of the reason why they're several patches behind).

Isn't that stuff from a seasonal event that was exclusive to the Chinese Server?
Why would the Chinese server want to censor a dandelion puff anyway?

Do you mind if I ask how you have come to this conclusion? I just updated my Chinese client and they are only at patch 3.21 and the moogle beast tribe quests were not released until patch 3.3 so they wont have those for a while yet and on top of this it was added to the cash shop July 5th along with a costume/emote set also being added and pre ordering both got you the golden crudgel for free.

I recall when the cloud thing was announced, that was YoshiP's/localization team's reasoning.

As for why they would censor the cloud mallow, it was because of the pose that characters hung onto it with, and the animation included with it, ie the butt shaking.

While these may seem like little reasons to make a completely new mount to NA; it falls into the same category of censoring the skeletons, etc.

However, I could be wrong, but I have a distinct memory of the entire thing being their censorship for the cloud mallow.

I am highly skeptical of this as it was released via cash shop while no other beast tribe mount has been and 3 months before the patch that introduces the beast tribe it would go to is even released no less. I will look into this more but thus far nothing on the matter is on their forums nor mentioned by their community team. Not saying your wrong but if you could provide a source even a Chinese/Japanese one that would be nice.

@Yurimi: Thank you for posting valid information by having the Chinese client yourself. Its always a little tiring to read so many reasons without any real source. Like people saying that the Chinese version of the game doesn't have a Gold Saucer, even though they have one. Or that its not created by SE but there are picture that its created by the devs..All this false information will spread around and will become the new truth which is sad.

On topic: Please SE no more regional exclusive stuff. Just because they might have different monsters and are a little behind on the patches does not mean IMO that they need all those exclusive items. I mean we Europeans got our own data center only recently...where is our exclusive stuff, since we had quite the lag thanks to that? (I don't mean this seriously btw)
