SE made out like bandits on the sales of the game alone, not to mention the horrible collectors edition everyone felt ripped off about. This game has been nothing but a weight on the shoulders of the few people who stayed around to keep it alive.
You drop one update that you separate into 2 patches and you think it's ready for billing?
Pay to play in a month? You wish..

If they lower the subscription cost, I will be their customer still. I'm not paying 12 bucks a month like it was on XI.

Who will still be interested in this game after a year ? Seriously..if its gonna take that long to get things the way they Should have been from day one and start billing people again.By that time there are other mmo's ( like GW2 ) who are much more popular and will attract more people most likely,especially since its B2P and looks like it has alot more to offer then FF does.I'm already losing interest in this game..heavily,i doubt i will be playing this game untill next year,and i doubt if i stop soon that i will check back in some time.

Edit"And if they really start to bill people this year,then it's the end of FFXIV ( i know im not gonna pay ) ,unless you're really hardcore about this game,i doubt many people will pay in its current state.

I honestly think they're running out of money, for a year now they've been running a online game with how many servers for free, the only money they've really gotten is from the retail sales.
