I dont mind the billing now. as long as 2.0 is a free patch not a so called expansion pack

Just to clarify, it was actually the PS3 release that was slated for somewhere between Oct. to Dec. 2012. Subscriptions fees are resuming November or December this year.
I'm okay with this plan.
It's good to hear that the PS3 release still has a year to go. Seeing as how the overhaul is about halfway done, that sounds about right. And the crowd that has stuck around this long to bitch and moan about how terrible everything in FFXIV is should put their money where their mouth is if they want to maintain the privilege for the next year.
Beta test is over. It's pay to play time.![]()

They do need people that have an open mind and a good taste. And we don't need people who cannot understand the motives of other people as why they arent gonna pay for this game in its current state. Some people are easily satisfied, just like yourself, and some people are a bit smarter then to pay for a game like this in it's current state. And the 10 bukcs ? I rather spend it on food then this game.
FFXIV already is quallity! Now comes the quantity.
I'm not too fussed about us being billed late nov-early dec. My main concern are two things (well, one is a concern, the other is more like a question):
1) can we have some more use friendly options of payment. Why not paypal, or direct debit or something we all can get on board with?
2) do we still get our 30days free trial when payment kicks off in nov-dec?

Uh, you realize according to the letter they have 250 employees working on this game? For a year? With no income and not much population growth to show for it?
Try starting a business and paying 250 employees for a year with no money coming in from the product and see how well you do.
Anyone that likes this game should be thankful they even care at this point. New graphics engine? New server structure? Redoing the world map? Doing all this (we asked for all of this by the way) while still providing monthly or bi-monthly regular content updates that add a respectable amount of content to the game? Any other company would have run out of money/investors pulling out by now.
I also question the timing of this, but did they kind of did launch the game a month and a half before Cataclysm. Also, 2.0 will take another year of development. Leave if you want, just give them props for being committed and trying to revive the game while dealing with all this incessant whining.
Cry me a river seriously. A few bucks isn't going to hurt you. There's plenty of content in this game currently. I said to myself if this game doesn't get good after Jan 2012 I would quit. Well after the ifrit battle, there's actually some hope afterall.
