    I feel the solution rests in how progression is handled at its core. As it is, we're basically railroaded through all the same content at all the same positions. There's little room for proper strategy, experimentation, or alternate methods of progression.

    Exactly. Someone in a thread a while ago made a suggestion on how WM could've worked without suddenly altering the way the class plays in its last 4-5 levels of it. Pretty much, you get the damage bonus and a reduction of tp cost (since that's what the stance really does, is lowers how much tp you burn) when you stand still after a couple of seconds and lose it when you move. The main reason why brd was competitive dps in 2.0 was because it have almost 0 disconnects, which allowed it to maintain a steady stream of damage. Transforming it to a pure caster kills that. Heck, they could've even made it caster and just gave us the ability to move like WoW used to do with their hunters, which was why hunter was always the top 10 dps in raids (beast mastery at least).

    4.0 not giving enough inventory/ ARMORY space
    They keep saying inventory but what about Amory? needs to be 20 >50 per slot because of new jobs + pvp gear, and honestly it should been put at 35 or so per slot with heavensward.

    Having enough space is a big fear of mine since I do question if they do have it in mind that they need enough space to give w/e we need for 4.0 PLUS making up what we should of had for 3.0+ We got 4 new jobs so far without an increase.

    That Minfilia won't return, that Red mage is a tank( I'll play it, but I'll play it with anger) it should be a DPS, that Summoners still wont get their egi glamours by then <.<

    I fear/ expect that almost nothing will change. Vertical progression feels great when catching up, but when you are caught up it just feels like all of your armor and weapons are going to be crap as soon as the new patch hits. Gear of the same item level is just way too similar as well. There are no interesting stats in this game. I know some people make a lot of the 1% difference between the 'best' substats and 'worst' substats that you could have on any particular item, but I suppose it's just because that's the only differences we have to go on.

    I'd like to see them get more inventive, even if the progression does remain mostly vertical. In HW they tried increasing the item level even more each patch to accommodate a wider selection of equipment. How about try having various sources of equipment that's the same or similar item level, but actually meaningfully different? For instance:

    easy tank gear (something like diadem) = what you would expect now. Stats that comply with their item level formula
    tome (or similar) tank gear = what you get on the easy gear + ability modifiers (extend duration or potency of Rampart/ Vengeance/ Shadowskin, or anything else)
    raid tank gear = what you get from the easy tank gear and - 1-3% damage taken (per piece) or similarly powerful modifications.

    It doesn't have to be so cut and dry either. The idea would be to foster at least slightly different builds/ play styles and add the possibility that item level doesn't necessarily trump everything. If they spread around interesting stats (and not just make it extremely strict and formulaic like gear always has been) you might even get people who would ordinarily only stick to one method of gear acquisition to do other things.

    As an alternative, they could put interesting stats on materia, since they essentially have that system in place already, but tier the materia based on equipment quality rather than level such that you can only get the full benefit of the highest tier materia in raid equipment, then tapered down through augmented tome gear, normal raid gear, etc. I think that might feel a bit too much like an extension of what we have now, but at least we'd (hopefully) have some choices we could make based on how we wanted to build our character.

    I'm scared it will be the exact same shite we have been doing... I.E: Tomestones grind and nothing else for endgame. I'm also worried they won't fix hair clipping, specifically long hair.

    The hair clipping issue isn't an easy one to fix. I honestly cant see a way they can do it feasibly.
