    Basically I fear that we will see a similar paring down of the amount of core content as we saw in Heavensward. We went from seeing 3 expert dungeons and multiple trials and a significant Hildebrand quest experience each patch to roughly half that content. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate them trying things like Diadem. But that needs to not come at the expense of core content.

    I also fear that they did not learn from their huge mistakes in regards to crafting and gathering scrips. I was an adamant crafter and gatherer in 2.x but this additional and eventually somewhat worthless grind put me completely off both. I am NOT casual. I would have hated the system even more if I was.

    In the end, I am not scared of any job,balance,system adjustments they come to every moo expac. I'm afraid that they won't learn from the missteps of this experience. Just like they clearly did not learn from the missteps of the previous FanFest.

    I have no idea, that's why I'm asking. What is the WoW route? I find the BS very simplistic. It is fun, yes, but it takes way, way too long to build up (to 50 for me) and the amount of boring buffs that just increase something (I main DRG) is too much. I like utility skills like DRG jumps. Maybe other classes have that?

    Just standing around pressing 5 buttons to increase your DPS before you start fighting is a bit of a boring concept, if you ask me.

    My fear is stuff like that stays largely the same.

    More patches where we just login to cap scrips and tomes with no other meaningful forms of progression. My secondly fear is that they continue to change the classes dramatically at max level, instead of going back to fix earlier skills. Its bad enough when you consider how Bard and Black Mage changed from 2.0 to 3.0. Now imagine how awkward it would be if they put a bandaid on that but only at level 70. Classes need to be well defined at an early level, and this is why we need a separate talent tree of traits to shape how we play, similar to how WoW does.

    true, I quit bard as my secondary job because of the ridiculous cast time, if I am forced to have a cast time I might as well do some serious damage as blm lol

    I REALLY hope they get rid of it in the expansion.

    And my biggest fear is the same skin, different # / no open world content.

    The game can be fun and exciting without having elemental weaknesses and non-instanced content. It's just being executed badly right now. What's annoying is that there is absolutely no form of random instant gratification, not even a little. No random chance at getting good loot.You queue up, you grind, you get your tomes/parts/whatever, and you turn them in for the loot after you have enough, everything is delayed and slow. There's nothing random to keep things spicy. You can plan out your entire week in the game, what you'll do, and the rate at which you will gain tomes. You get everything you need as long as you keep doing the same thing every day.

    There's nothing exciting about gearing up anymore.

    WHM is further pushed aside as being too generic of a healer job. It needs unique mechanics to separate from the basic big heals/big DPS/watch your mana.

    Storyline needlessly kills off characters, big and small. Haurchefant's death was pain, but had impact, but what about the little thief girl that froze to death?

    Roegadyn and Duskwrights are further shafted by storyline lore. I got a bit salty after realizing Tailfeather should've logically been full of Hellsguard verses MORE Wildwoods.

    Less than 3 new jobs, one for each role, as doing anything lopsided would destroy DF for at least a month.

    Speaking of, that the new tank and healer don't compete with WAR and SCH.
