Fanfest 2016 - Not worth the price

By SE's current mogstation prices, that alone is worth at least $20 of those $30 you paid, meaning the remaining 10 were for concert and panels and the like.
Seems adequate to me?

Y'know, it's one thing to be displeased with Square and say they should have offered or done more.
But to sound so condescending and downright insulting to those who did buy it, not seeing anything wrong with supporting a game and development team they love, is beyond rude.

Well forgive the bluntness, but by supporting actions like this, you're encouraging the company to push harder with these techniques. And that effects all of us. This isn't just about those who are fine with supporting it. Those against these sort of schemes are inversely punished for their discretion.

You say things like "Oh, I don't mind giving them extra money for this" typically just means poorer have to suffer in the long run. Cause and effect are basic principles of reality from solar combustion to basic economics. I'm just asking you guys to think twice about what happens when you buy stuff they really shouldn't be charging for in the first place.

I'm not saying that line of logic is 100% correct, or even why I personally decided to buy the stream. Just that issues should be taken with those you deem to have put out a sub-par product, not those who found it acceptable.

I see no problem taking issue with the company that enables it and those who allow it to continue as such. I'm not saying you can't find it acceptable, that's your opinion and your money, I can however point out how I feel it's bad form and a detriment to you as a consumer to assist in perpetuating such rituals. You like everyone else has the right to disagree with me and get on with your day though, I wont hold you over the fire for having your own opinion.

As nice as the sentiment you're trying to put forth is, it's nobody's place to really question the morality of using their own money to purchase a stream viewing. While it'd be nice if we donated that 5$ we spent on a Starbucks to a homeless person, but frankly you're being a tad ambitious.

I feel on the side that it wasn't something for me to buy as the vanity gear didn't jump out at me. I worked Friday, so that alone killed any worth to the stream since I wouldn't be able to watch it. I instead followed updates on here, Youtube, and Tumblr.

If the vanity stuff were FFVIII instead of FFX, I'd probably buy them for the minions.

As nice as the sentiment you're trying to put forth is, it's nobody's place to really question the morality of using their own money to purchase a stream viewing. While it'd be nice if we donated that 5$ we spent on a Starbucks to a homeless person, but frankly you're being a tad ambitious.

And I'm not saying you have to spend money how I personally see fit. I'm just saying that, to me at least, it comes off as short sighted, wasteful and frankly a bit subservient to the company.

I'm so glad I didn't pay for this overpriced stream. I will hopefully get lucky and get a code from someone one day. I just can't justify paying 30 dollars for something that will be on youtube and translated maybe in an hour.

Only problem I had with the stream was the absolute BS site they used. I had to go out on Friday and thought I could come home and catch up, because last time you could watch stuff IMMEDIATELY after it finished. I was wrong. So I missed all the good stuff and couldn't watch it until Saturday. I thought we would be able to do things over the weekend and just catch up between events, WRONG! If we couldn't make the Fanfest chances are it's because we have real life things we have to do, to not be able to watch stuff after was devastating. I was literally in tears on Friday. Hubby had to miss the Lore panel yesterday (kids demand to be fed every single day!) and he STILL can't freaking see it. Seriously SE?!


If you're going to charge $30 for a stream at least make it where the streams can be viewed back immediately. Oh, and not being able to rewind was fun too. Does anyone at SE have kids? Try telling 4 kids on a Saturday to be silent all day because if you miss something it's DAYS before you get a chance to watch it again. Finding the exact moment you missed will of course be fun too, but I'm guessing at that point most of us aren't going to even bother.

In this day and age it's absolutely insane to not be able to watch something right back or rewind, please don't ever use that site again.

Its not subservient if you wanna buy it. Its a want to buy it. Could I have gotten the info off reddit? Sure. But huddled on my phone for a blow by blow would not have been fun. Its like sports or whatever. You can get scores online for free, and you encourage ever rising prices for PPV by getting it sure, but that Super Bowl party wouldn't be the same if everyone's on their phone. My wife and kids loved it, we watched in on the TV with snacks both nights. It was fun. It was worth the money to me.
