Well forgive the bluntness, but by supporting actions like this, you're encouraging the company to push harder with these techniques. And that effects all of us. This isn't just about those who are fine with supporting it. Those against these sort of schemes are inversely punished for their discretion.

You say things like "Oh, I don't mind giving them extra money for this" typically just means poorer have to suffer in the long run. Cause and effect are basic principles of reality from solar combustion to basic economics. I'm just asking you guys to think twice about what happens when you buy stuff they really shouldn't be charging for in the first place.

As nice as the sentiment you're trying to put forth is, it's nobody's place to really question the morality of using their own money to purchase a stream viewing. While it'd be nice if we donated that 5$ we spent on a Starbucks to a homeless person, but frankly you're being a tad ambitious.

And I'm not saying you have to spend money how I personally see fit. I'm just saying that, to me at least, it comes off as short sighted, wasteful and frankly a bit subservient to the company.
