It will be very messy if they include multiple DPS jobs at once for queues/role balancing unless they increase the required amounts of people in a duty from the current 4/8 (seems unlikely). Wouldn't be surprised if they decided to push Samurai back for an expansion that centers around the East, we've had no confirmation it'll be in Stormblood at all.

only the first week, like with nin. ppl who wanna tank, will keep tanking - ppl who wanna heal, will keep healing - ppl who wanna dps, will keep DPSing; they aren't going to change roles, because of a launch being messy (regardless if it's a new job, patch or expansion)
and you can do stuff that doesn't need trinity-que - you can go PotD for example, which doesn't require all roles; or leves, beast tribe quests, fates.

Well it does all depend on the player, i refuse to play any tank jobs, regardless of what it is and how it's played, some people will just stick to what roles they like and stay there. in fact if drk was a DPS job i would have likely used it at some point, but since it was a tank, i have 0 interest in it. so if people "switch' to these roles they always had an urge to do so anyway.

Yes, but out of those friends and people you have met, that is no where near large enough to form a statistic comparable to the player base or even just the tanking population, to say that not adding a tank or healer will off set the balance of the roulettes, or even the game.

The first week of a new expansion is very important though, and you only have to look at other MMOs where new classes are implemented (especially DPS) to see that queue times get thrown off heavily because everyone wants to try the new jobs. Demon Hunters in Legion gave 45+ minute queues while it was instant for healers and almost the same for tanks despite there being a DH tank spec. While there is other content to level classes other than dungeons and following the MSQ, it's still the number one thing people will be doing when the expansion hits. I can't see people wanting to do old content when there's new stuff available.

The starting level of the new jobs will play an interesting role that also limits the amount of content you can do on them. Personally I'd rather level my current main (which is DPS) to 70 and then try out RDM afterwards, but I know others will prefer to jump straight onto the new jobs and throw the current balance off kilt. I agree it'll level out as time goes by and people will tend to stick to their preferred role, but it will still be more DPS than there was before if they choose to only put DPS classes in.
