I sure hope so. Healer would be the biggest mistake for red mage that there could possibly be, even more so than arcanist having two branching jobs. We already have a dps centric healer in scholar, we don't need another.

I'd rather see an RDM dps before healer.

Technically you'd want another DPSing healer so that someone could actually share duty with SCH. Makes it so that SCH don't tend to be the go-to off-healer.

Nah, I wouldn't use an off healer, I'd just use another dps. RDM needs something unique, not to be a carbon copy.

No, no, I meant in general for a new healer. It's why Dancer has so much traction as a healer job in the first place.

Yes, Dancer fits as a healer job, not RDM. If they released two healer jobs at once ghose queues would be flooded. Regardless, healer doesn't suit RDM because they've always had elements of tankyness, melee, defensive, support, and aggressive magic. Healer would at best only fit two of those five skillsets, especially with the prevalent dps meta. There's also already a support focused healer in AST.

I'm not saying RDM should be a healer. I'd imagine it being more of a support DPS like BRD/MCH than a pure damage caster like BLM/SMN.

Fair enough. I personally see rdm as being a tank. THAT'S ALL I NEED TO BE HAPPY.
