yeah and I will bloody take the 30 minute penalty just to calm myself down affter wanting to literally smash my PC up after dealing with you. So then you'll be looking for a new tank. Hopefully that way you get one that will run at your pace.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

12 pages in and especially after the latest reply be the OP, I am now convinced this is a very elaborate troll thread...no one could be this oblivious to how their class works AND that convinced of their own importance.

Uhm, no. When I tank, I tank at my pace regardless of what I'm tanking. Or if I'm with a poorly geared/new healer, I slow down so I don't overwhelm them with large pulls.
You're by all means welcome to pull the boss ahead of me. I will just stand outside the room and watch.
DPS don't dictate the speed of a run. Don't like it? You're free to leave and enjoy your penalty.

I don't have to imagine it; I've literally seen it more than once in some 24-mans.Heh. Imagine a tank that initiated a ready check And/Or countdown before literally every pull in a dungeon. Trash included. Now something like that i admit, WOULD be painful. XD
Nah, I don't even care. I just let those people die.Man, so much of that classic tank 'personality' in here. I bet most of you are the sort who have a proper fit and quit if a DPS goes and pulls a few more mobs over.
Other than things that were obviously mistakes/unintentional, I follow the "you pull it, you tank it" philosophy.

Gotta go fast. :/

As do I and a lot of other tanks I know. If you start pulling crap, I will not do a thing to take it off of you. And if I'm healing and see a DPS pull that stunt, I will only heal you when you're at 500 health or less. And that's only so I don't have to waste 2,000+ MP on a raise.
I understand not wanting to be in a duty for longer than 30 mins or so (for 24-man, I'm usually fine if they last about 40-ish minutes), but I am tired of all this GOTTA GET IT DONE NOW LET'S GOOOOOOOO MEH DEEPS MEH STACKS, but, like I tell my friends when they get impatient and pull: You can't DPS if you're dead, and not all tanks will save you if you pull~.
Now I don't like it when a tank stands outside the boss for like 500 years unless they are explaining the fight to a new person, or specifically say in chat "Oh, mind if I wait 45 seconds for -skill/cooldown- to reset". I also don't mind if they are waiting for a healer's MP to regen a little bit, or if they're a DRK and regening their own. My opener for DRK is pretty Dark Arts heavy so I try to get as much back as possible before the boss to reduce waiting, but if I have less than half, I will usually say "Sorry, waiting for my MP ^^;;" to the rest.

They been doing this for a long time. Could just consider them a character really.
LOL wat.
Excellent troll OP
It really depends on the content for me. i usually full premade roulettes and we race through the dungeons and straight into boss rooms and pull immediately. We like to keep the momentum up caus people have buff timers to maintain.
Savage or ex primals on the other hand yeah. Ready check and generous countdown please. It lets us all know that we are ready to prep our openers, shields, buffs etc so we can start the fight the best way possible.
Four of us went to raid finder for some Sophie farming the other night and my Ninja mate was going mad caus we kept encountering the same main tank with a ten second countdown timer lol.
