LilLemay yes a DRK is a better OT than a PLD because of the dps but you are right that it doesn't matter in 24 man raids since in there are even WAR with less then 400 dps as OT...
Even in 8 man content I wouldn't say it makes that much of a difference, all the dps checks in the game are entirely possible to do without the tanks doing 110% optimal DPS, so the extra damage from having a DRK over a PLD isn't really necessary anyway. Generally speaking the extra DPS of a DRK is outweighed by the utility that PLD brings to the table anyway, for things like Midas savage it's possible to just outright ignore several mechanics by using cover on the MT and then hitting HG, or using divine Veil, even being able to cast protect as a tank can make a world of difference to the healers in tight situations.

Between each tank it really more or less comes down to the player, just because one player is a PLD and one is a DRK it doesn't inherently mean the PLD is gonna be doing less DPS anyway, and given the recent Sword Oath changes that gap between DRK and PLD dps has been closed even further (by how much i'm not certain, but that gap IS smaller)
