Of course I would be. Name recognition may get someone to START something, but it won't keep them at it if they don't find it enjoyable.
And I've been playing this game nigh daily since launch for exactly that reason. I find it enjoyable.

I've always disliked the Final Fantasy series, for the record. I tried this one because I love online games and graphics looked nice, definitely not because of its name. Now FFXIV is my favourite game ever, but I still wouldn't touch any other FF with a stick (neither would my best friend, who is also obsessed with this game). So yes, this game IS fun in its own right.

Edit: I must admit, however, that I do love the character designs from FF games. I simply don't care about the games themselves, not even playing XV.

I don't even like the Final Fantasy series in general, but I play this. So uh, I may not be him but yes, yes I would still be playing it. In fact I'd probably have picked it up earlier if it was called something else.
