Squadron Recruits

I know the comments stating why a recruit joined is based on which challenge log led to getting them, but are the recruits themselves (name, race, looks, etc) based on it as well? I'd thought the rest was random (from amongst a collection of possible recruits).

PS: I'll extend my question to all the people who have obtained Femroes recruits, please tell me from what type of content yours was from. I want to make a full Femroe squadron.

I got one from a Gold Saucer challenge (one of the mini-game challenges, either "Size Doesn't Matter" or "From Small Things"). I'm just not sure if that's relevant.

Well, probably. It seems all of us getting gag recruits are doing so via Gold Saucer.

Yes Recuits appearance and background are not random. Only thing random is when they become recuitable.

Each Challenege Log has their own unique set of Recuits.

For example, the GS challenge log contains funny looking recuits which among them is a snowman dressed lalafell and even a bunny girl.

Those are the more rare type recuits as the more rare the recuit is the more unique their appearance and they even start out at a much higher level than Common type recuits.

I can confirm that a recruit can come from more than one type of challenge log. But it's still possible certain logs have a pool of recruits, just that there's some overlap.

So far I have seen specific recruits come from two different types of activities.

I just got him right now from entering into three chocobo races. Now if all of my recruits could look like him, I'd be a happy lieutenant. I am having trouble kicking people out, though. As soon as they walk through the door I feel already attached and responsible for them. I don't want them to be sad, I don't want to ruin dreams!

Jealous! I already complete enter chocobo race 20 times and win 1 time and still can't get it

That femroe that was just posted? I got it from running dungeon roulette and her recruit line was "many heroic deeds"

I have the mission, but the commander guy says "Honestly, the squadron isn't ready for this yet".
So most of my members are now 22, and I'm either waiting for levels to get me to the stats I need for it, or getting a new recruit to replace one of my 2 lancers. I've already used all my daily trainings, so maybe I'll start the special mission tomorrow.

Yea mine are 23 but I was going to have them get to at least lvl 25 before doing it. Hopefully we can rank up after they rank up. But I am still betting on them having to get to lvl 60

Ya common recuits tend to feel normal in appearance compared to the rare ones.

the Snowman Lalafell and Bunny Girl recuit are GS challenge exclusive recuits but they are rare recuits so it is base on luck if you get them or not.

I have a doubt here guys, I have a gla ilvl 14 that is 64/16/42 , but on my recruit list I have another gla lvl 10 with 60/14/40.

Will the new gla become stronger if she reached the same lvl ? or the stats does change at all and is only with training?
