This article seems pretty fair, to me.

How so? Those screenshots are nowhere near recent and are not indicative of recent play experience. This website has a grudge coloring its review, and if they can't afford journalistic integrity in their review, then they might as well post about clowns and how, since "this is 2011" they should have mental implants that guide their character from start to victory instantly.

From the couple review that some MMO sites posted ( this one and.. other one that review just before patch 1.18 I can't remember )

All of them are very bias to this game...maybe I could say to all JMMORPGs.
I know this game is bad.. and it need to fix.
At least this patch change a very large fundamental things in game to more.. enjoyable.

They didn't mention new simplify recipes that make thing lot easier for crafters.
They didn't even mention anything about materia.

They just post with pure bias and yeah.. with some positive but still negative in the end.
I think this guy didn't play this game anymore but maybe he read some forum and make thing up.
The whole pictures they post along with review are before patch 1.18 ( as you can see, no monster icon and there's old monster icon in the sabotender picture )

For me, FFXIV can't compare to other KMMO or English MMO in market.. but this patch is start to make thing right.

I do some research for their character on screenshot.. and the result is seem interesting..

After 2nd search and no result... I can say that this review cannot trust.
They don't play this game after patch at all. They just use some...random pic they found on internet and post it in their review.
I still wonder why I can't find those name on database... maybe it's a old player and they already delete that char.
Or even worse, those name and screenshots are from FFXIV Beta.

I can tell you first hand that Justin Beiber in that screenshot is a Beta Character on Mysidia. Why because if you look at the chat overlay (which is Mumble by the way), you will see Impulse. I know Impulse :P I also was present at this location taking screenshots of the Ul'dah sunrise.

I also know Katzchen Neko, who is also in that screenshot :P
