Summoners rejoice (Egi Glamour)

What you disliked about that class is easily fixable mechanically. (Would even fit the lore far better than the current EGi's)
I cant help the feeling of "weakness" from reliance on a pet though, that would be ur own perception then. (Not that lore couldnt easily change that too)

the moment the pet become the main actor of your jobs, is a sad reality... you become the pet, since you are not the damage nor the main part of the class, you are only there for help the pet to do the jobs. you are not a master, you are the pet. i was playing metaphysic in AO we had 3 pet (when i was playing) and we was dealing almost nothing as damage personally, most of our skill was to help the pet. but in the end... we dobecome the pet of the pet. that a sad truth about pet class.

and even if you make that your skill work like an order, is not different than you casting spell, it will not make you more a summoner. same if you make a summoner like in the solo game, it will not be not different than a black mage with a glamour of summoner. the only difference will be the animation.... in the gameplay you will be a caster throwing spell dealing direct damage.

them approach is interesting (i talk of the trance) if they work more on it, it can turn the summoner into something nice. but i feel the complain of the.... pet class people need to tune down since honestly a true pet class is boring and far to be interesting, since you will be dependant of many more factor, like the pathfinding, the ia of the pet and such.

let wait to see what will become the summoner in the 4.0 and see what they will do with the trance.

Yeah too much, nothing a game like FFXIV in the year 2016 can handle.

you realize that some summoning of FF11 was totally useless or barely usefull? plus they have said that most of them concern was about too many egi at the same place will make some "machine" have trouble without lag.
