Summoners rejoice (Egi Glamour)

I really enjoy playing the SMN and so like most, excited about the new egi-glamours. Kinda glad they're not just out-right scrapped! That would've sucked...

But what's with all this hush-hush going about? To be frank, I really don't think the new egi's will be in patch 3.4, considering the abysmal advertising of such a wanted feature. Because there wasn't any. Maybe some ppl are right? To prevent market inflations and whatnot, but this all struck me as odd.

I think it's more reasonable to believe it will be included in 3.45 rather the base 3.4, much like PotD. Either way, I'm excited! And hey, if I'm wrong and it's gonna be included in 3.4, all the better!

Well, I assume some people are equally annoyed about my eternal fight for a glamour catalouge...
And will be so glad when people finally shut up about it!....oh wait, that will probably never happen -.-

As soon as one is released, you will be able to see threads asking for the next etc. I like playing my smn but honestly, I hardly see my egi anyway so I couldn't care less what it looks like....

I never understood why people even want glamours for the egis, what's wrong with the ones we have?
I don't see SCH complaining that he doesn't have 15 different fairy looks, or MCH that his drone does not have a wide variety of different appearances...
I don't see BLMs asking SE to give them the option to make their Blizzard 4 appear as a giant ball of water instead because they are sick of looking at ice.
Always bothered me why it was considered to be okay for SMN to ask for that,...

Because never in any Final Fantasy installment has Summoner's spell repertoire been just three summons. Summoners have never been reduced to summoning a melee, caster and tank summon. If this were any other Final Fantasy, Summoners would have learned other summons as they leveled up, however, due to balancing issues that is not possible. That is why Summoners want glamours. Excluding the fact it was promised to us, which has been stated 5,971 times.

MCH that his drone does not have a wide variety of different appearances...

Just to point out, while I've never seen a MCH complain about the appearances of their drones, I have seen the occasional wish that the Tech-Pack said drones are deployed from had different skins to match different guns. Not often said, but I've seen it come up once or twice.

I must be one of the few summoners that just doesn't care about egi glamour. I don't mind them the way they are.

I don't mind the look of the egis as they are now. I'm NOT against being able to use carby as a glamour though, hes kind of cute even though he humps the ground like a dog in heat ...yeah he does -.-

If the option is there I will use him once in a while.

Egi glamours will never look as good as the ffxi smn so it really doesn't matter what I have at my side at the end of the day, but for those that are really into it, I'm glad they are slowly implementing them!

I don't want glamour because it just doesn't solve anything. the problem is glamour isn't going make the summoner pet better nor is going make pet stronger with stay in balance. glamour isn't what Summoner need it need progress for summoner pet.
I head for second hand Yoshi P doesn't like pet jobs if this true then Yoshi P must strive overcome his bias yes it hard balance the pet jobs and in stats i admit this but Challange is to do pet jobs to one best of one ability. look Glamour just band-aid to cover up one mistake when summoner first came out. one come up with a data sheet on different pet jobs and how different mmo have tried deal with them. I sorry i am change subject again. but i have my opinion on glamour Egi too.


As i said the important thing is solution to improve summoner with tried stay in balance of dps that summoner generate not glamour spell on it. level progress for summoner what will that look like as i said before glamour stall progress for summoner. look i know summoner will never be ffxi summoner it shouldn't tried be. i admit i had my doubt about summmoner and scholar they should been two seperate jobs and class when 2.0 came out. we all make mistakes.

I personally would *love* to flip my faeries back into carbuncles. I'm just not outspoken about it, because the current look doesn't negatively affect my gameplay in any way.

That's probably because the design of the Fairies are just as good as the Carbuncles. The Egis on the other hand not so much. If there was something for the Fairies I would hope it was a color swap by players choice. A black and gold fairy would match very nicely with my Glamour.
