    Did anyone actually read what Yoshi said about this today lol?

    It is a bug, and it is an exploit. The mechanic that limits exp gains when a higher level player is in the party is not functioning. People are exploiting that to powerlevel lol.

    That said, they probably shouldn't punish anyone for it.

    Can you quote where he said it was a "Bug" or and "exploit"

    Maybe you read something we all didn't.

    I recall "we didn't expect it to be used this way"

    i just read it

    no where in the post does it say the mechanic isnt working as intended

    what they are saying is there is an issue with people "AFK"ing during it

    now that i can see as an issue, and in its own way "illegal" play

    you cant be afk and benefit from it, thats obviously not how its supposed to work

    but no where in it does he say they misprogrammed it



    what he also said is they have a countermeasure for it going in in 1.19a(which is gonna be here really soon, i bet its next week) and thats why they didnt do an emergency maint. for this fix

    Not to mention they also state the high exp is due to removal of claim system, (AOEing is the point).

    I dont know how they can count measure that without going back to the old claim system. The AFKing one is easy.

    But PLing its self will stay, Yoshi wants it, deal with it, but he dont want AFKers.

    We have confirmed that an aspect related to inhibiting an over abundance of experience point gains is not working as intended as a consequence of removing the claim system.     go look at yoshis post and he says what the real problem is

    afk leveling

    what fox is saying looks like bad wording to me, something along the lines of "we didnt expect people to mass chain stuff for exp this bad" the inhibitor he was talking about is the old claim system itself which is now gone


    and imo, the biggest problem with this system is the link bonus
    you wanna cut off the overly abused exp gains, cut the link system down(why the hell links give more exp then chains is beyond me)

    So all they have to do is make it so the player has to have at least a green enmity icon in order to gain exp in that case. so now, shield-bearing PL'er only has to pull a bunch of mobs, war drums, PL'd pler love taps each of them, AOE. makes it take a little longer. sound good?

    Actually because of the nature of ranged attacks in this game it will probably slow it down considerably. The low level having to tag each mob first puts them in considerably more danger than the way it is now.
