they made it so you can get more exp then you should
they programmed it the way it is
they didnt expect it to be so high, but it is
its not like they misprogrammed anything, or there is a loophole to abuse
it is the intended mechanic, which they failed to adjust properly, that is why you can not define it as an exploit
not lets say people found a way for the chain to not ever drop, and they used that to mass 1000 chain mobs and always keep a bonus.... THAT would be an exploit

Its not a bug, its purposely programmed that.Except this is a bug in the calculations the game is doing to determine how much exp you are rewarded. [Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XIV FORUM Guidelines.]
Infact PLing will likely stay, they will just put in AFK count measures.

yoshi already gave his stance on PL'ing, basically he said he doesn't care. in fact it seems like he likes it. So there cant be consequences for people that have done it.
That being said, i think there should be a bigger nerf on xp when players that attack a mob are out of a +10 -10 lvl range.

Being able to PL was intentional. He likes the idea.yoshi already gave his stance on PL'ing, basically he said he doesn't care. in fact it seems like he likes it. So there cant be consequences for people that have done it.

He just wants to tone down EXP rates such that you actually have to be able to contribute.
Haha...

It's not an exploit. High level character can spend his personal time helping low level player catch up so they can kill big things together. Good thing.
with 18 hours of straight grinding and a power level you can
someone did a test, but they also DID NOT do it on a single class
they earned 2mil exp ina single day
that exp was spread across several jobs, which is why people say you can do 1-50 in a day
its not that you actualy go from 1-50, its you gain the equivilent exp if you get power leveled for 20 hours straight

Yeah, that's completely reasonable to complain about...with 18 hours of straight grinding and a power level you can

You could hit level 75 in Classic (pre-Abyssea, Pre-TP burn) FFXI in less than a week playing 20 hours a day and the projected level time for an efficient player was 3-5 months to 75 at that time.
I know because I did it back before I had a life with priorities and responsibilities Shit, we're grading games on how quickly the obsessive minority does things? This game will never be slow enough, then.
They are killing me, man. I've regressed back to using images and youtube links to express my points. You should be able to sue people for assaulting your brain cells. Seriously.
