I didn't watch the live letter but kinda disappointed if the item limit same with FC house

The current plan is to include 90 apartments available in each complex, but this number can be raised as needed for each ward, so don’t worry about room availability.

So it looks like 90 is just the minimum, and when needed will be increased. Its less that Balmung (and other large servers) will be out of room and more how long it will take them to add in more rooms.

Before people get there hopes up on that.. I wonder how fast would it be increased/ I know the apartments is on different coding so I wonder if they could just press a button for a large server and 90 more rooms appear. Or would it have to come months later in a patch

I wonder what would happen if all 30 plots in a single ward became FC property and each then had 512 Private Chambers built, that would be a total of 15,360 rooms which is far more from what we're getting with apartment buildings!...

Could it be that the game doesn't have the capacity for more!?...

What if every plot in the game was an individual FC and had 512 rooms each, that'd be 1,105,920 Private Chambers in total, could servers handle them!?...

Server limitations!?... Code limitations!?...

I must say I'm disappointed in the apartment buildings, each room is just slightly bigger than a Private Chamber!...

Why not? They only put load on server when in use.

Thanks for posting this, it wasn't in the preview I saw, but it's very interesting and helpful. Perhaps the number of apartments per ward will be tweaked during maintenance events as needed.As Tint pointed out earlierthis could be designed to even ou the ward population. Sounds very plausible, thanks to all for the thoughts, links and common sense.

At minimum it could be something dropped into a hotfix patch. We seem to get them for a bit after a big patch anyway.

An apartment room can be purchased for 500,000 gil.

Everyone’s chocobo will be stored in the one stable stationed outside the apartment. You’re able to tend to another person’s chocobo as well. There is also a shared space in the lobby of each building that you can congregate in.
