    Yes! You could instead watch as everyone you know jumps to a high pop server, leaving the place a ghost town secure in the knowledge that you aren't making the problem worse. I mean, yeah, your gaming experience will suck more, but think Centershock....you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you won't make the problem that SE contributed to worse.

    I find it's a good strategy to blame the player instead of SE for their piss-poor implementation,too!

    I mean, all that the complainers have to do is drop their current FC, friends, statics, connections, find some creative way to transfer more than a million gil (because that house is gonna cost you!), pay SE more money, move to a dead (or close) server, and then hope that there is some housing still available. Sounds pretty awesome.

    Your other post annoyed me but you seemed mostly reasonable. This other post makes me believe you are not. You understand what L E G A C Y is right. The server has been full since 2.0. If the system said no one who moved to this server could get a house then fine. If the system said only characters that were there before 2.0 fine again.

    SE has done nothing, in fact they have profited more from Balmung and Gilgamesh then any other 2 servers in the game not counting cash shop. If they can't design a system for all players they shouldn't implement any system and take the pr hit.

    If they want to gate it by time played, classes leveled, savage clears, hell mogstation all that is fine(sort of). As long as everyone who can clear the gate can participate. I would never tell someone who worked toward a goal in game go screw yourself. Then design future content around it (seasonal event rewards).

    Exactly this! I really wish more people would look at this stuff instead of obsessing over the numbers "3" and "512". There are screenshots of all three buildings and using those, it's not difficult to figure out the exact location in each ward. That alone is VERY telling, especially when you consider how the wards work and what would actually make sense implementation-wise.

    It's the equivalent of having 1 new FC house + chambers added per ward. One. Not exactly a wild expectation.

    Clearly, the people who joined Balmung in early game, from 1.0 to 2.0 or even pre-March 2014 are THE ONES AT FAULT even though Balmung had no such census data and there was no way at the time to know Balmung was the overpopulated server. WE BROUGHT IT UPON OURSELVES! Yeah, no, I didn't choose to go to a highly populated server. When I registered there was no such thing as population census and there was no character creation lock. That's some stupid noise right there.

    teaches you a lesson. Next time predict the server that becomes popular, so we can get some houses/apartment in 6.0

    Levi might not be as popular as balmung but hell pretty sure it's my fault too that SE didn't let us log in after the patch was up.

    All the locations confirm is that the apartments are in the residential districts. It does not explicitly confirm a building per ward and sub-ward.

    So if your math is right (I trust you ) The largest server has twenty thousand players. Each player could have 55 instanced rooms lets round down to 50. This actually makes me sadder or angrier. 50 rooms is a lot of space way more then a large house would be.

    SO why have they not made player housing instanced? They knew the failed pre 3.0, they know they are still going to fail going forward into 4.0. Do they not know how to let go a bad idea and move on. The wards are bad idea on a game that doesn't regulate population. Why keep embracing a failure.

    I can't speak for everyone, but reactions on forums are any indication. If they said the wards would be demolished and houses transferred to instances starting in 4.0. With an entrance in each city and vendors near entrance, would be better received then the current system.

    yeh like the people who wanted that unused houses are being demolished after 2 months :P and then coming on the forums and crying coz theyre hard earned gil is gone after a 5 month break :P
