It kind of seems like it's about someone who wanted to humblebrag that they'll be buying a $130 statue of Odin to compliment the dragon statue they already have, and they casually asked SE to not make the emote code that comes with the statue able to expire, for the collectors less fortunate than himself, of course. Because we all need to know that someone, somewhere, has every collectible irl that gives content in-game.
Ok let me rephrase it the thread turned into people being upset that SE is locking emotes (in game content) behind a RL paid item.Are you sure? By the way I'm not one of them I could care less about the emote, as I'd be buying it for the statue if were going to buy it.

Oh I didn't think you were one of them, I was just commenting on the tone the OP's post created for the thread lol. I'm not very worried about the fluff that comes with the collector's items either, as long as they aren't giving out functional (as in, raid gear ilv) gear then I don't care. It's a shrewd marketing technique as the bonuses will often push people to actually make the purchase when they otherwise wouldn't, but it just isn't a valuable purchase for me, either.
